Muhammad Ali beat four Olympic Gold Medalists which includes a 1956, 1964, 1968, and 1976 Gold Medalist which demonstrates the long arc of his career. He beat six members of the International Boxing Hall Of Fame, two consensus top ten hw atgs, and a bubble top ten atg. I respect Joe but when you're talking Muhammad Ali you're talking boxing.

    Ali. Let's compare their resumes:

Louis' best wins; Conn, Walcott, Schmeling. All great wins. Conn was a bit small, but he proved he can compete with heavyweights despite his size. I believe Conn's record is something like 11-2 at heavy, so I'll give Louis credit for those wins. After that, Louis' resume becomes a bit less impressive. Sharkey and Carnera were past it, Max Baer's right hand was broken, and Braddock might've also been the worst heavyweight champion in history. He has good wins like John Henry Lewis and Bob Pastor tho.

Ali's best wins; Foreman, Liston, Frazier. All also great wins, but his resume doesn't just stop there. He also had other impressive wins over Quarry, Shavers, Lyle, Bugner and Norton. Chuvalo is a good win as well.

Both pretty much beat every relevant heavyweight in their eras, I just think Ali dominated a better era.
