Who has Calzaghe beat to make him a top 5 fighter?

    There is no one out there in MW, LHW and SMW who can beat Calzaghe
    that should be enough.
    So far i know he hasn't lost a fight since he was 17.
    If he beats Jones and Hopkins beats Pavlik there is nothing left for him to prove.

    I read the first post in the thread, if that's what you mean and I don't see how it explains why "any fighter" would remain undefeated against old Bernard Hopkins, Jeff Lacy and Mikkel Kessler.

    So those fights make him a top 5 fighter? So if someone beats an old Hopkins, it makes him a top 5 fighter. So if Pavlik wins, he will catch up to Calzaghe?

    alot of people would say the same about FMJ. The only really top level fighter he faced in his prime and at his best was Jose Luis Castillo, and most people think Floyd lost that one.

    You can nitpick at any resume. Calzaghe is a great fighter.

    Who has JMM beaten to be above Calzaghe? Casamayor and Barrera who were both more shot than Hopkins is today.

    Who has Pac beaten other than shot Morales and Barrera, and a gift over JMM

    Who has Mijares beaten other than hype jobs and a shot Jorge Arce?

    Who has Vasquez beaten other than a blown up Rafa Marquez?

    Calzaghe beat the best p4p fighter in the world in Evans Ashir who before he fought Calzaghe was campaigning at junior middleweight.
