according to all these threads that keep popping up...
    floyd called out everyone

    called out shane
    called out coto
    called out kosta
    called out naz

these are all fights that if they happend at the time he called these people out he would have won....

can we all agree with that?
    and am i missing anyone?

he never called cotto out. merchant asked him about Cotto and Floyd said Cotto was too green. I'm not sure when, but I think it was after the Gatti fight.

    Who cares about 'calling out'??

It means little. It means something when your team contacts the other team to get down to serious negotiations.

I read that Mayweather did push for Arum to make a Cotto match after the Gatti fight, but Arum felt Cotto needed more experience (which he was right).

people dont get that floyd really gains nothing from fighting margo... he gains more now than before...

but before all margo was ... was a good fighter

    had 0 appeal
    had 0 market-ability
has 0 recognition from the public

from now till when floyd first got the offer to fight margo

i could name 6-10 fighters that would make more economic sense for floyd to fight.... and to the masses (not hard core boxing fans) would seem more impressive

he called out all these guys one the same day after the corrales fite. i dont fink floyd is scared to fite ne1 (excepty cotto) cuz he's too talented. and he picks less risk fites cuz he has already done all his hard work. so for him its easy money making fites that fit his criteria

    the scene of boxing.

"Floyd Mayweather does right by boxing" or something like that.

I trust the source as he's a good writer and message board poster.

thats official that he turned down the 8 but still

    think about it

if he beats margo all he gets is 8 million

    no notoriety in beating margo
it doesnt even look good on his resume... cause if/when he wins
he just beat an over hyped fighter

    why not fight
    hatton-shane-oscar-cotto and get more money

    why not fight
cotto-zab-clottey- berto- williams or get a belt to look good on your resume

    why not fight
hatton-shane-oscar-cotto-zab-clottey- berto- williams to look better in the public eye

all the fighters i named bring more money and more positive publicity and a better looking resume to the table...

He asked Arum to make the fight, no need to call him out cuz Arum told Floyd the fight wasnt going to happen.

Margo was offered the date with Floyd when Judah lost....He chose to fight Gomez a guy with 10 loses. Floyd did alot of his work behind the closed doors.

you know it reminds me of a quote Whitaker once made. "Its easy for a guy to get on TV and call you out, but once it cames time to make the fight they aint so brave"
