That was a BS short notice offer, where AM would have had to pay Gomez step aside money . . . Arum already had a dela in the works for site fees etc. . . Simple BS offer.

AM's 8 mil offer was with full notice and Frauds biggest offer to that point, the coward ran because thats what cowards do.

Yes cause Margo and Arum should go so concerned step aside money? :rofl

STEP ASIDE MONEY FOR GOMEZ? ROFL...

Margo and Arum offered the fight to Floyd when he was hurt.

Step aside payments do not happen when the fight is a mere two weeks away. And all that would do is take care of the opponent. If you think it's that simple, what about the venue that was secured, or the deal with the cable company? Let me guess...pay them step aside money too?

He went one better, he called out The Big Show.

After that victory, it's clear he would beat any HW fighting today. :nod

    Well said.

And this lame "His hand was hurt" excuse of Frauds behalf is BS. The dudes hands are always hurt, he can break out that excuse anytime. Besides the 8 mil offer came with plenty of notice and plenty of time to heal a bruised hand.

I don't care who he called out he still didn't fight anyone of the dangerous opponents out there EX. Cotto, Margo, Mosley, or i'd even accept a fight with Williams at this point

He did not call out Cotto...I don't know how many times that was proven...and the question about facing Cotto was asked by a reporter and it was Floyd himself who said Cotto was too green to consider fighting. Which was true at the time.

"Gatti-Mayweather is the immediate plan. But Top Rank is taking a close look at this, and seeing this backup solution: Mayweather-Cotto in a pay-per-view clash this summer, instead of Gatti-Mayweather. Then, if Cotto wins, make a pay-per-view mega fight against De La Hoya in late 2005".

“Cotto needs a couple more tune-ups. Right now he’s a little too green,” Mayweather said.

here's the link if you want to read it yourself...the question was ask right before the gatti fight.
