Who has had fights?

Ive been to GPO...I've been to every club in Brisbane but Melbas is the money maker. Now it just got bigger and is planning to get bigger again in 6 mths it just owns the Gold Coast.

The Advantage Melbas has over all the Brisbane clubs is that on the Gold Coast there is basically only one area to go out in and that is Surfers.

 

Since your so opinionated why don't you tell us where you go then. Let me guess.... With a name like westside you are 19, hang out with you homies on weekends and listen to the most commercial rap available, a total wigga, and when you go clubbing you like somewhere full of try hards looking to imitate american hip hop culture. Spot on?

 

Have you been upstairs GPO recently? Its been totally revamped in the past two years, and upstairs is the real night club, where as down stairs is more of a bar. Melbas is okay, I actually hit up a heap of Gold Coast clubs recently. The main problem for me is dress code and music. The music was a little bit old and some people get let in looking pretty casual. I still liked it though. Some good talent there. Good venue, good dance floor and a good lounge area as well. Also went to the bedroom and elsewhere. Elsewhere was pretty melow and funky but stil pretty cool, and bedroom was okay as well.

except: empire.. for breaks. except they make the breaks dj's play tech house poo. dumbasses.
and uber when there's dnb.. like calyx and teebee, concord dawn, ed rush n optical. except you woulda never heard of them.

Yes Brisbane is a wank and would have no idea what music is. Home of house crap (..and yes there's good house in existence bar remixes of 80's pop!!!)

Sounds like a disgruntled DJ to me. SO let me guess. Your the best DJ playing the best music in Brisbane but everyone else is so ****. Thats why they get all the gigs though. Your a **** mate. You obviously don't have friends and don't go out in Brisi other wise you would realise. Come to GPO on a saturday night wearing the best clothes in your wardrobe and I guarantee you that you will not get in. There is a dress code at GPO. I never said it was an elite club, just that it has a stricter dress code then any other club in Brisbane because it does. The reason i know you won't get in is because I doubt you have a shirt in your wardrobe that didn't come from lowes.

You can tell exactly what this guy is like. Travels overseas then comes back to australia and complains how everything is better over there. Tryhard who wants to sound like this really intellectual guy with tonnes of class and life experience. SOrry mate but i'm not buying it.

I love Australia. Its a great place to live and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I think the reason guys like this come back here is so that they can pretend to be that much better then everyone else. What a fraud. Sounds like he has a complex to me.

Havnt been to the upstairs bit in the last 4 months.

The Bedroom and elsewhere is not my kind of club simply because it's a drug scene. I went to the Temple and it's similar to Bedroom in music and the people that go there BUT it is really funky inside, really nice overlooking a canal but it's not my scene.

Fair enough. Apparently fishos (spelling) absolutely goes off on a sunday too. Really great pub looking out over the water. Do you go there ever? Have you been to Platinum or Quest? I have heard they are alright but haven't had a chance to go.

 

A lot of times it is necessary, because we cannot post threads of general nature in the Aussie forum. And posters like Barge FTA prefer to talk about these topics with the Aussie forum then have it moved to the lounge. i personally don't agree, but Barge insists that we don't always have to talk about boxing. If you have a problem with it talk to Barge. He loves a good discussion about general life in the Aussie forum. He loves his rugby league to. Sometimes I wonder why you would even come to a boxing forum if you don't want to talk about boxing, but he seems like a nice enough bloke so i let it slide. Can't knock a Katsidis fan.
