Depends in what context, there are boxers out there with incredible hand speed that dont put a lot on their punches to intentionally have that handspeed advantage... however Roy Jones Jr was able to do this with full blooded hurtful shots with either hand. So for me it's RJJ, he's gotta be well up there as one of the quickest fighters in history in any weight class.

oh i've seen him before. just recently i downloaded a tape of mcgirt taylor (which is just as annoyin becuase it's now on youtube:patsch ). which as most would say his best win. im not saying he couldnt box, he showed against norris that his jab was just as effective and had just as much snap. he was just kept falling into norris's traps and counter combos that meldrick couldnt get of the way of.yeah the chavez fight took alot out of him but he still was the same fighter just his major reflexes seem to of gone.

anyways point is handspeed is what this thread is about and if we are going for only handspeed it's got to be taylor.

I bet if someone with decent handspeed timed themself they could do that, at least without gloves. You guys act like a single video of one combination proves it. I've seen Taylor snap off like 8 punch combos in the blink of an eye, even quicker than that to be honest. His fast twitch muscles were ridiculous at times.

    Roy was faster overall though.

Take a look at a prime Macho Man, not just fantastic speed but also great technically, especially his footwork.
