what do you notice moves around more when being it, a water bag or a standard bag?

i have a ringside water/foam 130lbs bag that moves around way more than my big 5 century 100lbs bag.

is it because the water makes it move more?

I noticed that they kind of spin a lot more when you hit it off center. This could just be because of the way my gym hangs them though, im not sure. I hate water bags though...

I don't like them much either. Your hand kind of sinks into them when you punch. The nice thing about them though is that you can hit them without gloves on.

They generally are for practising footwork, since they move around so much.

I had one and hated it, especially when the inner tube busted and it started leaking all over my floor.. ;-)

    First of all,
whatever type of heavybag that you have, it must be mounted and set up correctly ---- proper spring tension, chain length, and possibly a bracket to prevent spinning.
About water bags --- they come in different sizes, weights, and some of the newer ones come with interior cells whereas creates minimal give.
You can hit them harder with minimal risk to damaging your hands.
I have both -- 100 lb. leather bag and a 90 lb. water bag.
    I use the water bag.
