    I believe it's Canzoneri with the most unsuccessful title fights, and Zivic with the most losses of any world champion.

    Duran hasn't been mentioned, he has a lot. And Holyfield.

    Duran lost to Leonard x2, Hearns, Hagler, Benitez and Joppy.... so six.

    Holyfield.... Bowe, Moorer, Lewis, Ruiz, Byrd, Ibragimov and SNV.... seven.

    Yes, Norton was gifted the WBC. Effectively he and Holmes was for the 'vacant' title...but Larry won anyway :lol:

    I think Medina did overtake him. I remember a couple of months ago Farhood or Houston mentioning him in BM regarding the number of losing title attempts. Canzoneri for the genuine title, Medina for belts.
