Who has more ADVANTAGES in the ring: Mayweather or Pacquiao?

How can you say that, its their past accomplishments that have honed their skills to this point.

floyd is bigger but fact is pac got the better outcomes against their common opposition : marquez (pac knocked him down so many times , closer to stopping him , should have according to some rule sets) , Hatton , Delahoya (clear cases).

 

Its clear you are a big Mayweather supporter but that statement just dropped the ball bigtime.

Mayweather is more a single shot puncher,(jab,check hook, leaping left hook, straight right hand-he has these punches mainly as his offence). Especially at 147. He could not even put away a much smaller Marquez who he already dropped. Where were the combinations to put Marquez away? Its not really in him for certain reasons thats why.

if you want, Mayweather has 'more' punches in his locker...but dont tell me he doesnt have some tendencies for his most dangerous punches that roach will surely know about.

Pacquiao, you never know what your are going to get in terms of combinations now. He'll be on you in a flash with his feet and fire from all different types of angles. Yes, he does neglect things like body punching and certain other punches but clearly since he has moved up he hasnt really needed them. His sharpshooting is enough for basically anyone right now. Im pretty sure though roach will want pac trying to go to the body more vs Mayfor many reasons i.e test him there anyway, use it to set up other punches etc.

and Pacquiao is quicker in my opinion now. What on Earth makes you think Mayweather is quicker? Combinations wise is Pac by far. I mean Hatton couldnt even see the last shot he was hit with when he was in there, let alone the 2 or 3 beforehand. Even vs a Mayweather, your not telling Zab Judah is quicker (or even if u believe Zab is quicker) than pacquiao and he got to mayweather plenty early. I think though Mayweathers physical advantages may offset some of this though. You say hesquick vs methodical opponents? huh so barrera, morales (the list goes on, where all methodical?). Vs Marquez it was worrying how he didnt adapt/adjust more but his speed still played a huge role

To address your last point: Marquez won more rounds, between their two fights, than Pac. The results were a draw and a SD, respectively. Mayweather won all 12 rounds against Marquez. No way can you say that Pac had a better outcome. Now, you might say that Marquez was fighting out of his natural weightclass, and he was. However if you look at DLH/Mayweather Mayweather fought outside of HIS natural weightclass and won. Pac forced DLH to drop down to 147, where he hadn't been in nearly a decade. And they both knocked out Hatton. A KO is a KO. A Manny caught Hatton after Floyd had already cracked his chin.

This bull**** about comparing competition needs to stop. In every case where they fought a similar opponent there are differences in weight, timing and, of course, style. Styles make fights. Mayweather beating Marquez so convincingly doesn't mean he will beat Pac, just like Pac beating DLH doesn't mean that he will beat Mayweather. There are just too many other things going on for that comparison to work. Frankly, if boxing worked that way Mosely would have lost to Margarito.

 

But he's correct.

Floyd has quite possibly the best footwork in the game. Manny has good footspeed, but he still tends to cross his legs up and get off balance, he's just such a great athlete that he can get away with it. Mayweather never looks nearly that sloppy.

And there's no reason to question either guy's heart. Mayweather has shown the highest level of work ethic and he has never given any indication that he wanted to quit in a fight. He is a calm, composed fighter, and whenver he gets tagged with a good shot he just smiles and shrugs it off. ***** and moan about his conduct out of the ring, but please point me to anything about his conduct in the ring that indicates a lack of heart.

 

Mayweather signs to fight. Behind da ink iz his heart. Money May signed 2 fight Baldomir who instantly became champ vs Judah. Margarito was the longest reigning and arguably the more dangerous fighter.
