    Wrong,

Thurman said he wouldn't be ready to fight by the end of May in an interview at that notice, and if you think Al Haymon would allow him to come to the UK YDKSAB

Bradley was not available either. Brook and Gavin had to split 1.2 m between them for the money available. Bradley is fighting for a world title in a much easier fight, at much longer notice, for 2m himself, in his own country...so you think Arum and Bradley would've accept at the most 0.5m to come to the UK at 5 weeks notice, then YDKSAB. If Bradley was so desperate to fight Brook, why has he pulled out of the IBF rankings?

Rios said yesterday he won't be redy to fight by the end of June, let alone the end of May, and nor would he or Arum accept them prices when he's been offered far more to fight Brook in August at a stadium with US tv backing

Due to the short notice of the fight (5 odd weeks, I think) Gavin really was about as good as Brook could get.

It is still an interesting fight for me. I would much rather Brook face Khan, Bradley or Thurman, but, stylistically, Gavin gives Brook more problems than the limited Rios.

And unlike Porter, he may actually bring Kell out of 2nd gear

Deffo Molina has a shout of landing lucky. I like Gavin but unless Brook doesnt something stupid this should not be a particularly tough night for him, they are a good league apart.

I think this 'other' Gavin you speak of might still be stuck in 2010 buried under a truck load of baked beans.

True I only think Brook can beat Brook (like he nearly did in Carson Jones 1).

If Molina lands a shot against Wilder like he did in round 1 v Arreola, then there will be a new Heavyweight champ :lol:
