I mean some of them half cocked right hands Wilder landed were proper death touches

The way he sparko'd Helenius was weird and he can land from a mile away in the blink of the eye. Although I think Fury has finished Wilder off.

Either one connecting with a unprotected jaw, is going to cause the recipients brain to send the message to their legs, that there would be a brief interlude in activity.

Joshua's fought much better opposition overall, so he's had less opportunity to just swing wildly with something that'd leave him open... He's also got the skill and punch selection to not need to rely on wild swings, unlike Wilder.

Wilder on the other hand has no choice but to load up because it's all he's got... And he's mostly fought journeymen, so he's not taking as big a risk by doing it.

Joshua's KO of Ngannou shows the kind of power he can deliver when he fully loads up - he just doesn't normally do it.

Wilder's never cracked a chin as solid as Ngannou's - he probably could, if he landed (which wouldn't be hard on Francis).

I doubt there's very much in it, in terms of absolute potential on a fully loaded up punch, but Joshua's got far more ways of delivering it and more power in a variety of punches - he's always been on a totally different level to Wilder as an all-round package.

Did you see him spark out Ortiz, drop Fury countless times and spark out Breazeale and Helenius in 1 - considerably faster than AJ? Wilder may be limited and have a paper thin resume but his power is without question excellent. Which light heavyweight and cruiserweights are you talking about? He literally spent most of his last 15 fights fighting fully fledged heavyweights.

Which glass jawed light heavyweights was he fighting then? You sound like a casual.

The difference is that it still took AJ three flush shots to do that, where Wilder can get it done in one.

Has Joe Parker given his thoughts on who has more pop between these two?? He would definitely know. And he seems like a no bull**** straight shooter.

AJ for sure. Wilder has never shown power versus a top HW. Fury is a top HW but he gets KD all the time...a literal MMA guy KD Fury...

AJ is being hyped to the moon lately, while many are questioning what Wilder has left.

Nevertheless, Wilder has a big, just over 7:3 lead in the poll. AJ is a much better sportsman than Wilder... I voted Wilder.

I am going against the grain and saying Joshua. Wilder has some power with a highly telegraphed, fully extended right hand. Joshua is more two-fisted and shows power from a variety of distances.

Has Joshua ever made an opponent leave the ring on a stretcher?

Joshua can land powerful shots off either hand at any range. All his shots carry KO power: his straight right, his hook, his uppercut, his bodyshots. And he's proven that power against the best in the division at one time or another.

Wilder has his nuclear right hand but that's it. All his other shots suck.

So whose power is more impressive? Joshua's. Who can potentially land a single harder shot (because he's flinging his whole body into it)? Wilder.

Not really. It's always easier to KO someone who has been stopped before.

If you look at Wilder's record he rarely is the first person to KO someone and it is never with one punch.

Of his notable names Wilder was the first to KO:
Luis Ortiz, but it took him a few attempts in fight 1 and it wasn't like what Joshua did to Ngannou.
Gerald Washington, and again it wasn't off the first knock down.

Of notable names, similarly Joshua was the first to take the chins of:
    Francis Ngannou
    Kevin Johnson
    Dillian Whyte
    Charles Martin
    Dominic Breazeale

so I think this idea that Wilder can do it with one punch needs context of who he is KOing with that one punch: i.e. fighters who have already had their chin cracked in previous fights
