Inoue himself does not think his power is particularly outstanding.

It's good that he's surface humble, but he's full of **** if he doesn't think his power is insane. Especially since he routinely drops and knocks people the **** out on the reg.

    1. Barrios looked about two weight divisions larger than Tank (who really should be fighting at 130 still, tbh).

    2. That being said, Inoue is the better puncher for sure, and p4p probably seems to hit harder, too. Real recognize real, which is a reason why Tank lavished praise on Inoue on Twitter following the Donaire rematch.

He didn't say he didn't have great punching power, he said that very little punching power is required to KO somebody, and that his brother has bigger punches. Obviously Takuma doesn't, but brotherly love blinds.

PimpC is secretly a massive fan of Margarito's.

On a pound for pound basis, I have to go with the Monster. It seems like every punch stuns the other guy...jabs, body shots, whatever. He gets immense torque from his hips (no homo)which translates into big time power at the end of his punches.

Just imagine a 240 Inoue snapping guy's heads back with jabs, doubling them over with body shots.

Tank has power, no question, but not as consistently concussive as Inoue.

Bull****. Dude couldn't stop a 36 year old Donaire who was blasted out by skinny Featherweight Walters when he was in his prime. Not a fan of Tank. Or Inoue for that matter.

I cannot conclusively say for sure who hits harder in an absolute sense. But stopping a Bantamweight takes considerably less absolute power than it does to stop Lightweights.

    Are you dense?

This thread is clearly being discussed in the P4P sense.

Tank probably does hit harder if you measure punch for punch. But Inoue wouldn't be far behind despite being 4 divisions lower.

But in terms of P4P, Inoue by a country mile.

I was responding to a poster who suggested that Inoue may possibly hit harder in a straight up sense.

Twink was absolutely terrified of club fighter Rolly's power. You could literally see the terror in his eyes and the head of the poop protruding out of the rim of his trunks as he was doing his running man impersonation. That's the same Rolly whose power couldn't put a dent in Jackson Ramirez who was robbed blind against him. That's the same Jackson Ramirez who was sparked out in HL reel fashion with ease by Commey's power.

Inoue literally stood toe-to-toe and traded with modern great and savage punching KO artist Nonito whose vaunted left hook could spark out a statue. No running with the fear of god in his eyes and no protruding poop head.

Who is saying that Tank is a better, more skilled fighter p4p? I reject the assertion that Inoue punches harder than Tank in an absolute sense. What's next? Spence punches harder than Smith Jr?
