This isn't really a debate anymore. Wilder's power is ATG level, but Joshua is very powerful in his own right but not quite in the highest echelon of scary power. I already know some haters are going to come in and try not to give any credit to Wilder for anything but those who aren't ignorant about boxing history will give Wilder his due.

Wilder throws everything into every shot. Which is why he's so off balance and tends to get outboxed sometimes. Can't say for sure he hits harder than Joshua or Wlad to be honest.

Depends on the punch. Joshua has the better check hook that can knock anybody senseless, but he has trouble landing it on mobile fighters.

Wilder's right is a lot more reliable.

    I would guess Joshua.
Some of that may be based from the Molina fight.
I could be wrong but I think Joshua seems the more powerful and explosive in general when he lands

Another myth. You're only looking at the last punch that knocks folks out, not the shot that hurts the opponent. The counter right that hurt Ortiz for instance. It was a sharp counter that put Ortiz passed the point of return. It happened fast and quick so it wasn't him loading up as there wasn't time to do so. It was sharp and hard and that's why it did the job. After that he was loading up with no threat of return fire (since Ortiz was willing to throw heat with heat) to finish him out.

I was thinking a bit along these lines.
I think Joshua is the more powerful but agree doesn't land as consistently on a moving target

Both have serious power but fully laden bomb I'd give the edge to wilder, he's just got that whip snap on the punch nailed down. But both of them hit more than hard enough to get the job done it doesn't matter if you hit harder than the other guy if the other guy can hit hard enough.

Wilder hits harder on the outside with the right hand. And Joshua hits harder on the inside with the shorter hooks. Pretty much game over when they both land these attacks.

Both have a different type of power.

Wilder is your bigger one punch KO artist. He's faster, more explosive with his shots, when he lands your going to have less time to see the punch coming and embrace for impact. Plus the velocity of the punch means when he connects he's gonna whip your head around faster and more likely to jar the brain in the skull leading to a clean KO. He's your Mike Tyson, RJJ like puncher, it's a combination of speed and power that make them so powerful and effective.

Joshua is more you clubbing, heavy handed, beat you down kind of fighter. His shots are slower so you have more of a chance to see them coming and brace for impact, but because of Joshua's superior size and strength they have more brute force behind the shots than Wilder. They won't jar or rattle the brain as much because they are slower and you can brace for impact but they physically move you more and probably hurt more. He's more your Foreman, Golovkin like power.

I think Wilder's straight right hand is more powerful than anything in Joshua's arsenal but Joshua's uppercut, left hook and basically every other punch other than the straight right is harder than Wilder's.

So who has more power? Joshua with his greater force and variety or Wilder with less force, less variety but greater speed of delivery of that force? I think it's Wilder. Power isn't just pure force/strength, power according to physics is about delivering force over the shortest period of time and that's Wilder.

But while Wilder has more power, I think Joshua is the better puncher. His variety and delivery of his lesser power is superior to Wilder's. Wilder for all his power has taken longer to KO Molina and Gavern than Joshua, longer to KO Duahaupas than Povetkin, longer to KO Arreola than Stiverne, longer to KO Szpilka than Kownacki etc. His flaws as a fighter means he can't deliver than power as effectively as other fighters.

    Joshua!

    1. Better technique

    2. Better accuracy ( doesn't hit with wrist/ Forearm either)

    3. Weighs more by average of 30 pounds..more force with speed combined.

The 3 combined above makes a more powerful / harder punch !

    4. Has a far better PROVEN resume of actual knockouts...and stoppages against LEGIT guys where Wilder has a paper thin on his resume !

    Whyte/ Breazeale / Povetkin....Klitchko / Takam / Martin !

    5. Joshua K.O'd the same opponents far easier ,less punches landed.

    6. Wilders out of ring showcases include Charlie zelenoff, A dummy made of plaster and a Mascot dressed as a Burrito...

Joshua actually broke a punching machine!

Thanks For Stopping by ! :headbash

Wilder obviously, but Fury is outboxing both Joshua and Wilder, but Joshua would knock out Wilder.

    Facts.

wilders right hand kinda catches you cause you dont see it coming ..its a sharp right hand not really a heavy right hand ..so im going with wilder but joshua is much better at combination punching and body punching thus in my opinion he would knock out wilder out pretty quickly 1 to 5 rds

Wilder because the power is coming from another dimension. I don't mean his punches are coming from crazy angles, I mean literally a different dimension.
