In short, the difference is Wilder will drop cold opponents with one shot. With AJ they will still be standing and falling around even when 2-3 shots land.

The result in the opponents reaction is clear enough to see. AJ doesnt get the same immediate cold reaction from an opponent when he lands one shot.

True it's pretty clear there is a difference.

Better power (Force+speed) - Wilder has the edge he has that perfect combination of speed and force, sparks guys out cold with one shot.

Better puncher (Technique)- Joshua is the more effective puncher due to variety, delivery and accuracy.

Hardest puncher (Force)- Joshua has heavier hands, greater strength and mass means he can put more pure force behind his shots. But power isn't just about how much force you generate, velocity is a factor. You see this in how guys like Gavern and Molina shelled up quickly looking to survive while looking to still engage vs Wilder.

If you were to fight Joshua you'd hate it because every shot would hurt but you'd take more shots off Joshua than Wilder, Wilder only needs to connect once cleanly and you are out of there. But Joshua probably stops you sooner due to his accuracy and variety, which is probably a good thing as nobody wants to get hit by such heavy hands for very long.

Yeah maybe Wilder does have better "One Punch" power than AJ, I'll concede. But AJ is just better than Wilder in everything else.

Overall, AJ has more power as a unit. One punch goes to Wilder.

Wilder's right hand is harder than any single punch Joshua throws.
Wilder doesn't seem to have that same power with the left hand, he
stings with the left but the right hand is monstrous.

Basically: Wilder right hand >>>>>>>>>> Joshua right hand,
Joshua left hand >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Wilder left hand.

I voted Wilder but this is because he sacrifices technique to generate the power he does. I wouldn't say he is necessarily more powerful, just that he takes more risks to throw wild lunging haymakers. Joshua keeps his form and balance and punches more correctly and accurately.

I think you'll find the crowd was booing the ref not AJ. There was no good reason to boo AJ. He did what he had to do against a guy who came to survive. The stoppage was premature, but the writing was on the wall at that point. That fight wasn't competitive at all.

For pure power, it's Wilder. That right hand comes up from the core of the earth.

If Joshua also loaded up, punched himself out of balance, caught his opponent on the back of the head with his forearm, I'm sure it would be harder. That's the biggest difference between the two of them...

It's true, a difference of styles... Wilder as if he is punching a power meter at the arcades, and Joshua keeping his feet and stance planted at all times, and using boxing fundamentals to not over commit to the punch.

It's just a shame that wilders had 40 fights in the same division as Joshua and we have to wonder what would happen if wilder fought some of the names Joshua has fought. He should of faced all of them by now but he's fought nearly none of them. Ortiz doe Ortiz doe Ortiz is the best Ortiz is better than wlad and povetkin. Errr no. But that's all they come up with.

Ernie shavers doesn't have any relevant Knockouts in his first 40 fights . Not for me.

How big puncher he was is very similar to how wilder got his reputation and that's getting no quality knockouts. This doesn't suggest they don't hit hard but clearly theres guys ranked above them if you really look into the actual fights and the way the punches land.

Guys like Holmes can claim shavers hit harder then Tyson but again video will show you otherwise as Tyson dismantled Holmes with FAR few more punches and rounds .

An interesting fact is all the top guys Shavers fought who said he was the hardest hitter defeated him.

I even got foreman on twitter to concede he hit harder when discussing it,something he never did as he favored shavers in a power contest....again I showed him otherwise and with hard points to counter.

Thanks but it will fall on blind eyes as most wont actually do the research and pick wilder because hes become a fictional character more then a proven one in terms of power that's said to kill people and so on....lol

I don't know who has better power. But I know who has better technique.

I think Joshua has more. Just compare Joshua vs Molina to Wilder vs same.
