they both put monte down 5 times but i still go with wlad. also wlad was the first to put monte out in the 7 round since monte was put out by valuev 11th and couser in the 2nd now haye in the 5th.
Wlad has been consistently in my top p4p punchers for years...Generally towards the edge of the top 10 or sometimes hovering just outside it. Even if he has mixed results I think that has more to do with his confidence and approach rather then his power. Not many heavies around now can turn a fight with one punch like he can. I think he takes this for me but its pretty close, Haye is certainly one of the most explosive fighters around today. Interesting to note both knocked Monte down 5 times.
Im sure it was only 5 mate. I definitely remember Wlad dropped him 3 times to finish it, I can only vaguely recall two other KD's in that fight.
WK wins hands down, but most importantly WK's power comes from straight, crisp punches. Haye's punches come from hooks generally and many of them are wild, very round punches, ala Sam Peter.
That's true. I'm not saying Haye doesn't hit hard, especially for a Cruiserweight, just that Wlad hits harder, especially for a Heavyweight.
atsch Did you see Wlad vs Barrett? there were 5 KDs in that fight as well but I guess that doesn't count right....:rofl
Not live but on the tube and such. I am not comparing him wholely to Peter, trust me. I just mean that when Haye gets excited, he starts throwing crazy, amateur style punches. Its that wild swing for the fences stuff. That will get him KO'd in a blink against with Klitschko. He does not fight like that all the time, but when he gets wild, its wild.
