Who has more punching power Pacquiao or Ortiz?

I would say in terms of sheer raw power that ortiz has PAC beat. Angles, accuracy, etc., diff story

 

Ortiz has heavier hands I think

 

I'm gonna go with Pac. He stunned Margarito with some wicked shots that would taken out anyone 147 and below.

 

Ortiz hits harder, definitely. Tricky part is though, ortiz is right handed, who fights, southpaw. Pac is a lefty traditionally. Right Hook, ortiz, straight left, Pacman.

 

The best guy Ortiz has stopped is...I don't know, a washed up Vivian Harris?


Pac's stopped Cotto, Barrera, Morales 2x, Hatton, etc. I don't think it would take many punches from him to put Peterson or even Maidana out for good. His power is much, much more proven at the top level.

Yeah..:huh Pac has the angles and speed like another poster pointed out, but I'd be willing to put money on Ortiz having the heavier hands.. which is what I believe the OP is asking..

 

Hard to say. Both guys can really crack - and, to my knowledge, they don't have any common opponents to gauge against. Pac's faster and more awkward so I'm inclined to give him the edge; however, if the 2 of them took turns punching one of them arcade punching bags, I doubt that he walks away with the higher score.

 

I got my weighing scales and weighed Pac's hands and Ortiz hands and the heavier hands is Victor's.
