Floyd has fought much bigger and stronger fighters than Margarito, like Hatton, De La Hoya, and Judah. He will knock Margo out, just like Cotto did.

"Slick" Margarito has far superior hand and footspeed...see the PW fight and floyd is a better brawler who has no accuracy but is big with great power...see corrales, gatti, ODLH, Baldo, Hatton, Judah, Famoso, jesus chavez, JLC, etc etc etc

You're ******ed. Margo has one of the best defenses ever. He's so fast & smart in the ring. He'd flurry PBF all nite, just like he did against Williams for the first 6 rounds. Margo has too much defense for PBF, you seen how PBF struggled with a defensive technician like Gatti, & Margo is clearly superior to Gatti.

In the second half of the fight, Floyd will just break through that defense with his size and relentlessness. Just like Clottey did to Margo.

Nah, Margo would fight hard, as hard as he does in the first 6 rounds of all his other fights. Margo would catch Floyd with something & Floyd will be stumbling & have to rely on low blows to keep him in the fight, just like he did against Judah.

To be fair... im not even sure if margarito is THAT much a better FIGHTER. i know that sounds crazy but when floyd wants to stay in the pocket and fight he is also very effective, he just chooses not to most of the time because its not his most effective way of doing things.

I say floyd is a better fighter p4p and obviously hes the better boxer p4p....

but that is soooooooo only a fraction of determining who wins a fight, skills are overated, and fighting ability means a lot, but not everything.

Margarito has never won a fight by being the more skilled fighter..... more determined? yes... bigger? yes.... better stamina? yes.... better workrate? yes.... better power? yes... better beard? yes....

never by having better skills... hell, cotto has more skills AND is the better fighter too IMO, but margarito beat him in their fight based on everything i listed above.

    as always just IMO

determination, size, stamina, workrate, power, chin... all are factors in making someone a better or worse fighter. why do you just cast them aside?

true, and i agree.... and im not casting them aside, im saying those are what wins him fights, not skills... those attributes is why he IS a good fighter, obviously i wouldnt cast them aside.

but im being asked whos a BETTER fighter, mayweather or margarito, and i have to go with mayweather.... because i think hes a better fighter, same with cotto, i just dont think cotto could handle margaritos size coupled with his workrate well.. (obviously lol) but i still think hes the better fighter.

but anyways... ya i agree those are what makes up being a good fighter, im not casting them aside i was listing what wins him fights, and that its not skill... so saying someone is more skilled then him really doesnt mean a whole lot because hes usually the better 'fighter' anyways, i just dont think thats the case with mayweather or cotto, but size overcomes certain things when the guy with the size advantage is an elite fighter.

size in boxing is about weight. Margarito might have a size advantage over PBF, but not over Cotto. Cotto can no longer make 140, and there was practically no difference in their ring weights when Margo and Cotto met.

PBF is a different story because he can likely make 140 easily.

i agree to a point... in that, i have no problem with margarito fighting at 147 because if he makes the weight, then hes a welter. But not all welterweights size is equal.

but oftentimes one only needs to use common sense in seeing one 147lber is not the same size as another...

Sharmba Mitchell had to move up to 147 too... him and margarito and williams are not the same size.

Cotto is a legit 147lber, dont get me wrong... hes a short, strong, and thick guy... but margarito is a guy who regularly fights above 147 and could easily campaign at 154 and maybe even 160 against a smaller middleweight...

but anyways, i guess we will have to agree to disagree...

to me, cotto is the better fighter and better boxer then margarito, but margarito overcame all that to win the fight which makes it that much more impressive to me, but he did do so with the size advantage IMO. But hey... im not saying its unfair, he made the weight so its all good, but i still think hes bigger, and that it was the straw that broke the camels back in that fight and goes hand in glove with his workrate and stamina in providing a huge mountain to climb for a guy like cotto. Mayweather not so much as hes quicker and a better boxer who would do better against margarito then cotto imo...

anyways, i see what your saying though and i dont disagree totally
