Cotto has a more rounded skill set. So Cotto imo.

Tito would win H2H at 147.

They are on the same level, as far as accomplishments are concerned of course Trinidad is way ahead, but I guess you're just speaking about mere talent so, they're even.
Cotto is a methodic, calculating, smart wrecking machine, Trinidad was more reckless but more fluid, just a different kind of boxer.
I don't like when people call Cotto a slugger, they prove they don't know what the're talking about.....judging by their criteria, Duran was nothing but a brawler.

Agree with that; Cotto is looking like an A+ boxer/puncher. Tito had more natural concussive power by far, which I guess is talent more than learned boxing skills. I dunno, think Id take Cotto too though :good

cotto is more of a complete fighter wheras tito was an old fashion warrior, cotto probably has the more talent but if they both fought in their primes Tito would destroy him.

The scary thing about Cotto is that he is developing into the flawless all around boxer. He has good power, skills, speed, stamina, and has ring smarts. With time I could see this guy perfecting his style and so far hes proved to have a decent chin...I would love to see it get tested against Margo. Overall I think he would school Trinidad and unlike ODH I think Cotto would score a late round stopage.

Agreed. Tito's power made up for a lot of kinks in his armor.

Tito had more "talent" but he didn't develop his skills as much as Cotto who is the most skilled fighter of the 2 by a mile. Given Tito's experience and the way Cotto improves every fights, he would beat Tito in a H2H match up at 147 in about 3-4 fights.

Cotto has more overall boxing talent. Trinidad is much better H2H.

Cotto is probably a more well rounded fighter in the sense that he can fight in close, fight from mid range in a tactical boxing match, and even fight going backwards, while still being able to counterpunch effectively and land clean, hard shots. And the scary thing is that he's still getting better and better. I'd love to see him double up his jab more.

    Trinidad is better H2H though.

Tito has power in both hands ... speed ... and great boxing skills --

Cotto has more slickness to his game - but isn't the more talented of the two.

Overall boxing ability I have to give the edge to Tito -

When Tito used his tools - there were very effective ... Tito wasn't limited to the left hook, even though it played a factor in finishing off his opponents.

Tito used his jab effectively ... right hand ... uppercut ... and left hook

Tito also was great cutting off the ring ... he fought well on the inside ... he could exchange and could box.

His power punching combonations were the best i'd ever seen ... other than someone like Rafa Marquez
