PR has a population of about 4 million.

Mexico has a population of about 110 million.

P4P Puerto Rico obliterates Mexico (and every other nation in the world for that matter)

As far as GREATER fighters go, then it's Mexico, no doubt.

Per capita, then PR takes this, but this thread is about who produces the BETTER boxers.

    Really?

The last ATG PR has had in recent years is Tito, and i would say Barrera and Morales (who are from the same era) rank higher then him. PR's golden age was definetly around the 70's/early 80's when they had the likes of Gomez, Benitez, Camacho < Rosario ect...

But both Nations are ELITE forces in this sport. 2 of the top 3. After the US.

In some way it is not a fair question, Mexico has about 10 or 15 millions boxers at any given time (population 112+ millions) and PR has a population of 3 or 4 millions and about the same amount living in the USA, so lets b generous and said that PR has one million fighters, common guys just by the law of probability Mexico should produce more, on top of that you factor in the social economics of both countries, and the number should increase.

Take Salido and Angulo out of that list and replace them with Hugo Cazares and Miguel Vazquez.

Montiel is a 3 division champ, anarci.

Salido, Angulo and Alvarez are not that good, a least not yet, and BrickMarg we all know how he hurt his chances a greatness and having a second chance he blew it.
