    Golovkin would have stopped:

    Trout
    Cotto
    PBF
    Lara

    at 160.

Canelo but Golovkin closed the gap a little with Jacobs.

I think that the gulf in skills would be telling even if they were 20 pounds heavier than May.

No one ducks mayweather anyway, the money's too good. I think ggg best opponents beat Canelo's. Mayweather may lose purely because of size difference, he's still light years ahead in skill.

Good post, yet there hasn't been a single response to it. I wonder why . . . If Triple G fights Floyd Mayweather at 152 lbs Triple G would be majorly drained and would gass out probably by the 4th round, and may even be stopped by Floyd at that weight. At 160 it's a whole nother story because that's Triple G's best weight. At 154 as opposed to 152, Canelo may have had more energy to pull out more of those close rounds that Floyd won, and won a decision, who knows. But still at 152 while Floyd won, Canelo still did well in many of those rounds.

Triple G was fighting bigger guys, but bigger doesn't mean they are better. We all know Floyd is the toughest to beat out of any of the guys Canelo or Triple G fought, and Canelo fought him below the normal weight as a demand by Floyd to even the playing field between him and Canelo. We as fans can't approve of catchweights, and it's important to point out that Canelo's only loss was at a catchweight, which many of us don't consider legit. So if you look at it that way, Canelo is still undefeated (in fights at full weight limits without catchweights) and what we have on September 16th is a fight at the Full 160. Triple G while he is undefeated, also doesn't have nearly as many wins as Canelo. Of course Canelo has an early-in-his-career draw as well, so all these need to be considered. All these factors add up to a major showdown on September 16.

Jacobs would starch Canelo's pimp ass and all the guys he ever fought.

Jacobs would slap Mayweather upside the head and send him to the kitchen to go make him a sammich with all the trimmings.

No one in their right mind will say a 147 fighter in Mayweather is a harder fight then a 160 danny Jacobs for example who rehydrates at 190 in ring

Mayweather wasn't a 147 lb fighter when he fought Canelo. He was a 150/152 lb fighter. And while Jacobs was much bigger obviously in terms of defense, Floyd is obviously a much better defensive fighter than Danny Jacobs and harder to hit.
