" had better career" lmao typical argument of janitor.. you avoid the real question... he did ask you if rex was better than ike... and not even in the hell rex is beating ibeauchi,
i don´t care a **** about the relative careers to their eras.

We also have film of Ike and the ability to see his size, power, speed, and workrate.

Do you see any specific improvements in Tua or Byrd that would have made a material difference in the fights with Ike? Or are you just referring to them as prospects to try to diminish Ike's victories over them?

Relative to Ike, as a fighter what specific advantages would Rex bring to the table?

I was thinking the same thing. Pretty sure Janitor made each of those exact same arguments in a thread a couple months ago.

In terms of achievement Layne achieved more than Ibeabuchi. How can you dispute this? Who is better then on their resume?

Luff said "Walcott beat everybody in his prime apart from Rocky,Louis and Layne. Bryd beat everybody apart from ike and Wlad" But in the scheme of things Ike isn't really anybody is he?

He asked "was Layne any better than ike". But was Bryd even in his prime losing to Ike?

The relevance of Ike Ibeabuchi is not significant in these discussions because he cancelled himself out of a significant career after beating two people who (once they improved) might have been second best heavyweight in the World at one time.

Lots of forgotten boxers beat two guys who went on to be second best in the world.

Who else did Ike fight? He only fought two name fighters before they were quite the names they later became. Imagine If Tua or Bryd never fought again after losing to Ike?

Yes Ike looked good, I can't dispute this, I liked him. However, he never moved on from that, we never got to find out if he was able to replicate this against established names. The truth is he was a troubled young man who did not hold it together long enough for us to ever know.

Walcott the far better technical fighter and it's not close. His ability to slip and counter alone far exceeds any level of ability Byrd possessed.

You didn't answer my question at all. Are you incapable of doing so? Question was:

I think they are different types of fighter. Walcott used angles to set you up for a knockout, whereas Byrd was a good slipper and blocker of punches who tried to outpoint you.

Byrd is more like Eddie Machen, in my opinion. Technically very good but conservative.

Bryd was also a body builder. The guy never would have been that size in any other era.

you can rate size over talent or you see it for what it is.

Bryd was actually a pretty good boxer anyway. I think Walcott was better.

I've never in my life heard of Walcott training with weights, in fact i have read the odd claim to the contrary.

What is your source/proof that Walcott was doing weights?

Archive moore was a big fan of training weights,i dont have proofs of walcott doing the same but i have a bit of experience and his body was similar to archie's ,does not matter if you lift weights in a gym or a cow in the farm, it is the same
