I would say David Haye, very close to the same size as Ali. Both have great handspeed, Haye has more power. I feel both are athletically gifted. Ali has a slightly better chin, but Haye's will to win is second to none. It would be a tough fight for both men, it's hard to pick a winner between the two of them.

well, he is called the greatest of all time for a reason guys :hey

Tyson would get ****ed up, lol try that bob and weave **** against ali, tyson would get picked apart without ever being able to close the distance properly.....

Tyson is one of the best heavys ever, but ali's style is all wrong for him. Ali's footwork and rythem was wayyyy to good, tyson would never be able to close in and set his feet properly... He would get jabbed to death

Dempsey would have a chance if it was old school rules, he knew how to clobber a guy if he got him hurt...

Other than that, with modern rules, Joe Louis probobly stood the best chance. However, the problem is, with the old greats, defense was more about your stamina/chin :yep. I really dont know how these old timers would deal with ali's footwork/timing/rythem, it was truley somthing to behold....

Maybe liston, some people think those fights were fixed :!:

P4P however, thats a different thread :good

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Leave it to british fight fans.... A fighter with 3 fights at heavy, wins a PAPER TITLE against a freak show, and now he can compete with greatest of all time :lol::lol::lol:

LOL @ ali has a slightly better chin

Haye would have crumbled at the first glancing blow foreman lands

Marciano, Tyson, Demsey or Louis would beat him. Since Tyson is most recent, and can be seen better on film, I'll make him most definate pick.

Larry Holmes would do the job. Better jab, harder hitter, better boxer, chin in the same class. Plus he did whip an old Ali.

I say Holmes and Lewis. Both guys had a terrific jab and knew how to use it. A great jab is the key to giving Ali a hard time.

If I had to choose a winner, I would still pick Ali to beat both guys but they would give him hell.

he never got beaten in his prime. that was post exile and he was not as fast or accurate and his timing wasnt as good and his stamina wasnt as good. in his prime he could punch with power while moving backwards, something ive never seen any other heavyweight do. I would say rocky marciano hhas the best chance as he could cut off the ring really well and would probably rough ali up a lot on the inside. This coupled with his monstrous punching power, heart and ability at slipping the jab would give a him better chance than any one else. Ali still wins in my book though.
