All things considered I think Martinez is the front runner after Pac/Floyd.

mosley was ranked number 3 p4p because of his margarito fight which happened over a year and half before the mayweather fight, a fighter can age a lot in year and half of inactivity. Had he fought mosley 3 years ago, things might have been different

If Pac fights Mayweather and beats him, it would surely make him the Ring Magazine "fighter of the year" for the fourth time, an honor only the great Muhammad Ali and Joe Louis have achieved. Although Pac would be the first to get it 3 years in a row.

i like WV2 but he isnt ready for poonsawat yet. the thai is a little bull and bedak was catching WV2 with the left hook all night. thats poonsawats money punch, only difference is hes got power.
As for fighter of the year I think juanmas the front runner. beat a solid beltholder in luevano, blew out a contender that many thought would test him in concepion, and if he goes on to beat marquez he will have 3 good wins

    :good

But if Mayweather beats Pacquiao, it would make him the fighter of the year and he'd be the first boxer ever to win fighter of the year awards in 3 different decades, demonstrating his longevity at the top end of this sport.

    would be a great accomplishment.

Though Ali won his first in 1963 and his last in 1978 which is a span of 15 years. If Floyd wins it this year, it'll be 12 years

Why would anybody say Andre Ward? All he hs is Allen Green.

    JuanMa
    Martinez
    Mayweather
    Vazquez Jr.
    Pong

all have much better claims to being Fighter of the Year than Ward.
