Poor refereeing aside Hatton was too small for Floyd at Welterweight and only managed to outwork him for some rounds.

Who can actually do the job?

Miguel Cotto - A bigger and stronger welterweight than Hatton, but doesnt posses the same workrate and footspeed as ricky.

Vernon Forrest - Oscar really troubled Floyd with the jab and Forrest could apply his great Jab and skills on the smaller Floyd. Standing 6 foot tall he beat up another speedy great...a prime Shane Mosley.

Oscar De La Hoya - Was one round away from getting a draw last time vs Floyd (although some fell he deserved the decison). Can he stick to using his jab in a rematch and find the stamina to win a UD?

Shane Mosley - After watching his loss to Cotto im not convinced SSM has the energy or power to trouble Floyd anymore. 36 is old for a fighter of shanes height and speed dependant style.

Feel free to add any more names.

Personally I would prefer to see Floyd take on Forrest.

I think Cotto-Mayweather is the only fight for Mayweather that makes sense.

Paul Williams would be a NIGHTMARE for Floyd. An absolute stylistic NIGHTMARE!

Also Mosely matches up with him well....and tho I hate to say it (and would hate more to watch it...LOL) Cory Spinks as well, could pose some problems...tho I would have my money on Floyd.

Paul Williams. Relentless high workrate would throw Floyd off his game.

    Cotto and Paul Williams.

Cotto because of his preasure and body work and Paul Williams because of the stylistic problems he poses.

I think Paul Williams is the worst style match up for Floyd but Williams has done nothing but beat an overrated and overhyped Margo and barely won at that.

But of the 4 you mentioned none of them could beat Mayweather.

Eze, what PW has done resume-wise has nothing to do with the sylistic problems he presents.

I know but his post is kind of directing at who Floyd should go after next, which would be his hardest fight.

But that doesn't change the fact that Paul might be the worst out of all of them.

I would say williams because of his height, and style.
Cotto's chin is not that sturdy looking at times.
I thought Mosley looked old in that fight, and still showed some good stuff.
If Mosley was able to hurt him. Mayweather will keep him hurt.

I dont know brother, I see PW being all wrong for Floyd style wise. Doesnt mean he wins, but the height and volume would be a problem. Not sure how tall PW is, but he would tower over Floyd. Then again there is the Corrales fight lol, I remember saying the same thing back in '01. You never know.
