Actually, I had thought of this thread about 2 months ago, a little while after I joined the forum. I had asked quite a few people and managed to make a decent list I think. I hadn't posted it right away though, and then i completely forgot about it. The other guy's thread made me remember it! Sry for the "duplicate thread" anyway, I just thought it is a good idea to have some specific options to choose from. :good
Thanx mate. :good I think people do not appreciate McCall's chin though... :think Didn't expect that!
for me it has always been between his and Chuvalo's.... I just cant help remembering the Frazier and Foreman fights shakeing my head going "what the hell?....WHO DOSENT FALL OVER FROM THAT!?" but McCall was INSANE too.
Foreman got KTFO by Ali, dropped multiple times by Lyle, wouldnt say his beard was granite. Oliver McCall.
People only think about the second half of his career, in which he often took multiple big shots from guys he was fighting. But these are guys like Holyfield. Decent punchers, but for the era he fought in... he's one of the lighter ones.
Holyfield? my favorite fighter ever maybe...but remember Cooper and Bowe? top 20 maybe but McCall, Chuvalo and Vitali a step above Evander in the chin up stakes.
Yep, I would definitely NOT vote for Evander for best chin, but he had a SOLID chin, that's why I put him up there. :thumbsup Cmon, choose one!
I'd have to go with Chuvalo. The argument for McCall is that he has never been TKOd while Chuvalo has, but when you consider the eras in which each fought, imo, the nod goes to Chuvalo.
Tua and McCall. Never been down or KO'd and Tua was in with Ibeabuchi...McCall was eating Lewis' punches like ****ing M%M's
Going for Chuvalo with a the Atomic bull being a close 2nd .... his chin might be just as good or better though but not proven vs the same opposition that Chuvalo fought. Vitali and Tua deserve a nod as well, the rest aren't in this race.
