In respect to Tyson's weight, the speed that he had was out of this world...And the power that he could dish out was off the damn charts.

Now compare that to Roy Jones who was around middleweight/supermiddleweight... He was blazing fast and had great power but did he have mike tyson like power????

Roy Jones may have been a bit faster handed and nimble than Tyson but when Tyson cranked up the heat he was killer fast. So obviously Roy kinda edges him out in speed.

    But Power?

Tyson has Roy Jones in power very clearly in a lb 4 lb sense.

The ratio between Power and Speed goes to Iron Mike Tyson.

    Gotta be Tyson

Jones Knocked people down/out because they dont see the punch coming he hits hard alright but I didn't ever consider him a devestating hitter.

Tyson when he was winning the titles , yikes !

A prime RJJ at 168 is at the top of my list, but also a young Mike Tyson is right up there. I think youngsters Berto and Gamboa are pretty impressive in that department too. Actually an up and coming Zab Judah deserves mention....and y'all might think I'm nuts but the birttle handed Mayweather had knockout power at 130.

Roy is one of my all time favorite fighters. I always loved watching him fight, and feel that he is one of the best fighters that I've ever seen. However, he used steroids. He even had a positive test. I fail to see how stating facts makes me a hater.

The point is....you "Roid Jones" guys make way to much of his alleged steroid use. The ridiculous thing about it is, even if he did juice at some point in his career, you knuckleheads make it out as if he juiced throughout his ENTIRE career. Which is ridiculous. I've even heard some of you guys say he was probably roiding in the Olympics too. What did he take? Androstenidione? An over the counter mild, steriod that could be bought at GNC at the time? Look, the guy was a sumpremely giftyed athlete and genetic freak without steriods. Stop attemptiong to discredit his entire career and if and when he did take performance enhancing drugs at was when he was in his 30's at 175, not 168 or below.

Why don't you stop generalizing? I never said Roy used steroids his entire career, and I never said steroids were the only reason he was successful. However, he did use steroids(Don't believe that GNC nonsense. Ripped fuel is a fatburner. You're not testing positive from Ripped Fuel). I don't know for how long, and I don't know how much affect it had on him. However, he used it and it raises questions in concern with his speed and punching power. Barry Bonds is a great baseball player. However, the steroid allegations will always cast suspiscion over his career. The same holds true for Roy. Don't get mad at me for stating facts and raising legitimate points.

As usual, the same tired old biased garbage from TFFP.

calzaghe: 30 TKOs in 32 stoppage wins, only 2 KOs.

1 KO was against the mighty Frank Minton (26 wins, 21 losses, had lost his last 3 in a row), the other was against the legendary Tyler Hughes.

What a stunning advertisement for his awesome punching power.

Many of those 30 stopped guys were stopped in a blinding flurry of slaps like Manfredo was (I do admit that Calzaghe has brilliant handspeed, that is beyond doubt), but were not badly hurt.

There is obviously many many fighters who combined speed and power to a far higher degree.
