Those folks faced "best of the best" opponents with great infamous names. Some were past their best but NWM. Those are some good warriors with godlike resumes. Who had the best career and legacy?
You're a moron. There is not one person on the face of the Earth (who has access to technology) who doesn't know who Muhammad Ali is. There are a ton of people who have never heard of Joe Louis or Floyd Mayweather. The answer is Ali. He has the greatest legacy in boxing history. And there is no debating it. You're just trying to prop up Floyd like you always do.
I kinda agree with you but if your talking about people knowing Ali outside of the sport, I think most people not boxing fans don’t really know him because of his fights. If you asked them they’d talk about his clever trash talk, his problems with the government, his changing his name,Parkinson’s, possibly that he fought in Africa and they could maybe name thethriller in Manilla or the rumble in the jungle but I reckon 70% of those asked couldn’t name who he fought in thosetwo bouts. In terms of the list I went with Floyd. When you look on paper back at hisrecord, the names, the belts, the level of payment and being so technically goodand unbeaten. I’m No Floyd lover. I like wathching himfight, but give him no favours.
Being known does not necessarily mean the greatest, moron. Fact is: Floyd Joy Sinclair is EASILY a top 10 ATG fighter in the sport, of all time. He's definitely in that ballpark along with Louis and Ali. Robinson has the greatest legacy/resume in boxing!
You and I both know damn well you lumped Floyd in with Ali and Louis to prop up Floyd. This forum is a joke for not banning you anyway. All you do is post the same **** over and over to bash Pacman and praise Floyd.
No, it's a serious debate that could be had whether or not Floyd is a top 5 atg. You can say whatever you want but the facts don't change I don't bash Pacman, i state the facts.
Lol at the the direction this thread went in! Calm down people, its only opinions! And i chose Mayweather. Always makes me laugh when people start conversations about Ali and other fighters and people go against Ali....some people get proper mad!!
You legit just posted in a thread about Pacman being an ATG: "Floyd's higher". Now what in the world does that have to do with Pacman? The thread didn't even ask about Floyd.
1. Everyone knows it's the truth 2. It was a response to those who said he was the greatest of this era, which is obviously not true in the least.
With the possible exception of Joe Calzaghe (one of my all time favourites), all those listed are bona fide top-50 ATGs. So who of those beat the most other top-50s? Ali, I think. He also has a legacy that arguably transcends his boxing ability. The single most influential boxer who ever lived, no matter where you place him in an all-time list based on actual skill. As somebody else said, everybody in the western world knows his name. *edited to add "Calzaghe" to "Joe", in case anyone thought I was talking about Joe Louis.
