I voted for Mayweather Jr. He beat the best to be the best. Most of the guys that Floyd beat were big name fighters. They tried to beat him but all of them failed.

Ring Magazine, as well as many other polls, still consider Joe Louis the no. 1 or no. 2 greatest hw of all time. And the man last fought 66 years ago. That’s a pretty damn good legacy!

The guy was talking about people outside the boxing world. Seriously go out on the street ask 10 people about Ali and who he fought in the Thiller in Manilla and the Rumble in the Jungle and most people under 60 will struggle to answer.

I'll give you in order best to worst legacy:

    Ali
    Louis
    Lewis
    Mayweather
    Marciano
    Calzaghe

And I'm not hating on Calzaghe, it's just the division
he was in contains no real glory (and I'm not bias,
it's one of my 4 favorite divisions)

more people now knew about TUE on Floyd's illegal IV that exposed how very low the corruption of the sport has gone and now this Clenelo thing being covered with a very lame clean 3rd test, it's just pure comedy for money. when the money got bigger, the corruption got massive exposure when they got careless. all those cheaters have no place on ATG lists no matter how good they were. only those who respected the sport and fought fair and square deserves peoples recognotion.

Ali or Joe Louis. I went with Joe simply because he defended the heavyweight title a record number of times which still stands to this day. Ali had more prolific battles and career defining moments but I’m leaning towards the brown bomber having a slightly better legacy as the most dominant heavyweight champion of all time.
