If we are talking about popularity and who’s legacy is more we’ll known then it’s obviously Ali. He’s an iconic figure athletically and politically. His image is one of the most well known globally. But strictly about Boxing and ring accomplishments he’s neck and neck with Joe Louis...in my opinion

Floyd isn’t top in anyone’s 10 ATG....outside of you and other people who are most likely on the TMT payroll. He’s certainly top 25.

He's on many boxing aficionados' top 10 list.

    So no.

Damnit, there are arguments to be made for him to be in the top 5.

Is this ranked in any specific order? I hope not because you have Joe Louis at the bottom and Joe C ahead of Rocky Marciano and Lennox Lewis.

He’s without question the most dominant heavyweight champion of all time. He defended the heavyweight title 26 times in a row which still to this day has not been broken. Not to mention he was operating with a skill set beyond his time and usually relegated to the lower weight classes. He was a very polished and well schooled pugilist in the golden era of Boxing.

Lewis and Mayweather could swap. I think Floyd’s legacy is slightly better than LL’s. I hate to say it but the undefeated record has some credence.

Lol...give me the list of “Boxing aficionados” who have Floyd in the top 10 ATG. I’ve seen and reviewed most, from Ring, ESPN, SI to Boxing.com....even Bert Sugar, none of them have Floyd in the top 10 let alone the top 5.

Lol. FoxNews is what you consider a Boxing aficionado? And a poster from the boxrec forum? The telegraph might be legit but never heard of the guy before. The boxrec ratings system is based on a points algorithm which is not a person but a program run by the administrator. It’s flawed. The same points system has Canelo p4p #1 right now
