if your self confidence and self esteem were fine in real life you wouldn't need to dick-ride any fighter over 3 years on here

simba do you think groves should retire after that last outing think , its was good enough for froch iyo after the first fight or is it double standards time , groves as took nearly as much punishment as froch in his whole carrer and he is just off the blocks

How have i done that when giving details.
You have constantly gone on about all boxing having to be in America, which with your logic shows an insecurity with anything outside where you live, which is ridiculous.
So all this talk of every fighter wants big fights, go to America. Where has Froch had the biggest live crowd and made the most money?

Do you think one punch is as much punishment? One punch KOd Groves, but Froch had tough fights against Magee, Kessler twice, staggered by Dirrell, Johnson, Adamu, Pascal, Ward, Groves

Thats what made it more shocking. Kessler when faded and having suffered eye trouble is able to compete in this era and remain a factor, yet old end of SMW Calzaghe was able to beat him when he was prime and take the 0. Just imagine how big a win that would have been for Ward or Froch, had they got that one.

you see groves after the first fight or are you choosing to ignore that to you see groves dropped off anderson just ignore it though,
about one punch groves was losing the second time round you see him after that fight think , froch had not even got out of first gear , end of a carrer begging of one groves will not last as long as froch as at elite level , he as been on the floor same amount as times as froch already and done something froch as failed to do get ktfo

I think a lot of people will have shared your opinions when they were new to the sport.

I sound like a parrot, when I keep saying that statistics don't allow for circumstances.

    But it's true.

It will state on boxrec, that Eubank beat Benn, Watson and Roch etc, and that Collins beat an undefeated Eubank.

But again, Eubank was very lucky not to have had three losses on his resume going into the ring with Collins, and he wasn't the fighter he'd been previously.

So in my honest opinion, I don't think Collins' two victories over Eubank are the great wins that Bailey thinks they are.

It's the same regarding his wins over Benn.

You can't measure a fighters success, or rank him, just on stats.

You have to take many things into consideration, and allow for circumstances.

Bailey keeps asking his famous two questions, over and over again.

"How many top, undefeated champs has Ward beaten?"

But how many opportunities as he had to have fought against top, undefeated champs?

Joe was in his mid 30's before he fought Lacy and Kessler.

    It's just circumstances.

But threads like this **** me off.

Because Joe is credited as being the greatest SMW of all time, basically through a lack of ambition to move up to LHW, even though at one point, there was literally nothing worth staying around for.

But in a week or two, we'll have a thread discussing Roy's career, where the exact same people will criticise Roy for not unifying at SMW, only having had 7 fights at the weight, and never being the man in any division etc.

    It's a joke.

Again, Joe fought at SMW for 14 years, in 44 fights.

    He was a great fighter.

If he didn't have the best stats at the weight, there'd be something seriously wrong.

But what if Roy or others had've had 40 plus fights at the weight?

Roy moved from SMW because he couldn't unify.

A fight with Benn proved hard to make, and we know that Liles turned his back on his biggest payday to fight Roy, and then his manager Jack O'Halloran walked out on him.

If Roy had've had Toney, Malinga, Benn and Liles on his resume, then what?

Joe was lucky in the end that Lacy and Kessler came on the scene.

If they hadn't have done, it's clear that he'd have been more than content to just face whoever Frank and the WBO lined up for him.

Again, I've no issue with Joe being labelled as the number one SMW of all time, but I don't see it as this great achievement.

another way to look at it is the way Kessler has redefined himself since the eye injury
you're so intent on discrediting fighters for the benefit of british fighters that you don't know how to be objective
