    That's right.

Some of these wins need putting into context.

You can't highlight Eubank's best work, and then say Collins beat him.

Because he didn't fight the Eubank of the early 90's.

If Hopkins beat Calzaghe would it not have been a great win for Hopkins? If Jones had beat Calzaghe would it have not been a great win?

Sometimes you have to look at the fighters overall body of work..

Unless they obviously don't look like themselves at the new weight, I don't see why you can't use wins in other weights as legit credibility to the quality of the fighter.

    Good post.

This is what I always stress to Bailey.

It all depends on the circumstances.

You have to take many, many things into consideration when rating a win.

actually I am in full agreement with Damian on his argument.

so if my argument is pwned, that means you think Damian is pwned. I have to disagree with you, hes spot on.

stop panicking and just reply to the posts in question, don't dig further holes for yourself like this one.

    you'd just answered it previously.

Why did you fell the need to make a further answer, if your previous 'duck' answer was enough for you?

so many holes, and only you to fill them. grab your spade.

na no one can dispute Kessler is a top dog, at least close to elite at smw although he was never able to get that success at mw.

his only real big weakness was no real plan B when losing, he was too ****sure at times.

Lacy was a different story, brave, honest, good puncher and that's it. He'd never have won a title outside smw.

Oh I can read fine. Lets have a look at your inability to type and read(yet again).

There's absolutely nothing in this post mentioning Reid in any way, you started off praising the Eubank victory and ended it up with nothing mentioning Reid. Anyone mentally stable would assume that the second half of that comical post was also related to the first half(Eubank) or am I supposed to miraculously guess and read your mind?

Oh and you have to be sedated to the very core to believe that Reid is better than Abraham. Not only is Abraham better, he's also more proven, two weight division champion and has far better wins than Reid.

Do yourself a favor and add that piece of **** to your ignore list. It's disturbing enough that I can mistakenly read his posts every time you quote him.

I'd have to say Calzaghe based on the longevity and combination of quantity and quality.

Jones has the single best win with Toney. Obviously not enough.

Froch has the higher concentration of big wins, but not enough to overtake Calzaghe as of now.

Ward has a chance in the future, but only if he actually has a few more fights at the weight.

That is also why rating fighters is so diverse... So many things need taken into account. I remember back when I first started really watching boxing, I used to just look at their number of L's and decide if they were better than Roy Jones. I figured if they had been beaten, they were not possibly better than Roy. So that ruled out just about everyone.

This was obviously a completely senseless way to rate fighters and I was very young, but looking back now at the way I thought, it would be like my son looking at Roy's current record and dismissing him because he has lost 8 times, and that seems totally crazy to me because when I was a kid I really did think Roy Jones was unbeatable.

I am sure many felt the same about Ali, Robinsion, Leonard and so on.

Dawson didn't look the same at all cutting weight especially your natural weight is dangerous. Dawson if he was going to go down in weight should have had a couple fights before Ward to make sure he was good at that weight. If he had done that is would of been a bigger Win for Ward because people would have seen Dawson as himself. That's what I mean when I say hasn't done anything at that weight. Pretty much that the fighter hasn't proven he was himself and a good scalp to be taken at that weight.

If Jones looked like complete **** agains Ruiz and was slow because of the new weight people would have dismissed the win if Ruiz won especially on here.
