Cueves was a little early in his career but a great start to his legacy. Benitez was one. Roberto Duran. Even Shuler was unexpected. And the Virgil Hill fight was his last hurrah 11 years after he won by UD against an undefeated lightweight great. Yes, I do believe Virgil Hill was in the top 10 light heavies of all time. And Hearns getting 4 and then 5 world titles as the first to do it was key. The fact Hearns was the first guy to win 4 titles during the WBC,WBA and IBF years is significant. Later with the WBO boxing became more watered down, and now they have catchweights which give guys titles for fighting out of their weight. Leonard was the guy who started that travesty with Lalonde.

I called my math professor in college. He says the number 150 falls between the numbers 147.1 - 154, which is the weight range of the light middleweight division.

And yes, the David Diaz win was FANTASTIC! The guy beat Zab Judah twice in the amateurs to take his 1996 Olympic spot and came off a big win against the guy in your avatar while looking like the guy in your avatar.

    :good

He completely dismantled Cuevas, who had been on a roll with 11-consecutive title defenses. A lot of people point out Jose being the paper champ, but really he was fighting better opposition than Ring/Lineal WW Carlos Palomino during the same time frame.

The post-Napoles Welterweight division from 1976-82 was incredibly stacked with great fighters and solid contenders. When SRL and Hearns came onto the scene, they literally wiped out the division on a collision course. People seem to think Ray won his Gold in Montreal and then got everything handed right to him; in reality, he ran through a number of rated contenders before he even got the shot against Benitez.

and Greb because he beat Tunney like the dude not the 1st page mentioned... and that dude who posted the Pacman list.. look at what Greb did o_O

I agree Pacman has a great Resume tho but i don't think it's the best

Lebedev is fast approaching this status. He already has the scalps of Toney and Jones on his resume. I think 1 or two more ATG names should put him over the top.
