...Doesn't being a 3-division world champion give him a claim to fame?

I thought Kinchen beat Hearns. That wasn't a good decision at all.

The easiest part is 2 know Roy's resume does not really stack up with theirs as he fought has beens , never were , far from their best age and weight , a severely drained Toney , a weak alphabet not too worthy "HW champion of the world" , avoided dangerous fights etc .

    Resume's

    1.Hearns
    2.Leonard
    3.Hagler
    4.Duran

Move Jones all the way off the list the only guys that should be in this convesation is Benitez and McCallum, and yes Duran is vastly overrated

Leonard's resumé doesn't quite have the longevity and therefore depth of the likes of Duran's, but for sheer quality over quantity, Hearns, Duran, Hagler and Benitez takes some beating.

This poll shows how people overrated Duran. Hearns beating Hill in 1991 is a better win than Duran had his whole post lightweight career. Then Hearns stopped Duran,Cuevas, outboxed Hill and Benitez and fought superfights with Ray and Marvin and should have a win over Ray. All this time Duran lost to all the fab 4 and Benitez.. the fab 5.

Hearns was toiling away against Barkley, Kinchen and the like and managing a fninal surge against Hill, when Duran comparatively was moving up and beating Leonard.

Bro, you're like a ****ing terminator, programmed with anti-Duran hype technology. Sent back in time to prevent P4P lists from looking like ****. I admire your unhinged, relentless, emotionless work ethic.

I think it can be argued either way with Hitman and SRL for number one , Duran is last on my list out of the 4.

RJJs resume definatley stands up to Durans IMO.

Hearns beating Virgil Hill is better than Duran's wins over:

    Sugar Ray Leonard
    Iran Barkley
    Davey Moore
    Carlos Palomino
    Pipino Cuevas
    ?

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

No. Absolutely not. Who did Jones ever beat that even close to the level of someone like Ray Leonard?

yes it is better. Making laughing faces does not override faces. Hill undefeated and Hearns beat a guy 4 divisions above where he won his first title fight and Virgil had 10 title defense. Are you kidding? And the fact Ray made Duran quit takes away from that win. You really think Davey Moore and a washed up Cuevas in 1983 is better than Hill? Palomino was overrated. Benitez beat him. Hearns beat up Cuevas when Cuevas was champ, He beat the guy who beat Palomino and won his 154 pound title against him Benitez All those guys you mention do not come close to Virgil except Ray, and Ray was fighting his second title fight ever when he fought Roberto. Virgil was undefeated at 175 with 10 title defenses and 5 years younger than Hearns. Had Duran beaten Hill we would have never heard the end of it. Yes I will always say Hearns resume and wins were better than Duran's. He won title fights against champions Cueves and Benitez and Hill, and beat Duran in a unification. That is better than anything Duran ever did. Fact.
