I'm interested to see how Haye is against Audley from a technical standpoint. PK posted a video yesterday (Ruiz) and i was watching Haye and thinking no way would he beat Wlad boxing like that. He looked ****ing ragged, sloppy footwork and a right mess, Obviously different fights ask for different things. I'm sure he'd be more precise and careful and more focused on them lil things that bothered me but it's a tough one to answer...it put a seed another seed of doubt in my mind..
Good point. I give Haye zero chance, he is scared of Vitali or Vlad. Haye knows he would get knocked out, that's why he broke two contracts and ran. Audley might beat him.
No difference. He should finish Audley in a couple of rounds, he's hardly going to be pulled into the trenches. Straight after that he should be fresh to fight Wlad.
Haye seems more disciplined now. Against Ruiz he was a little off, but he was incredibly precise against Valuev. He kept throwing hurtful shots - was a good performance. He can fight to a gameplan and can change his style to suit the opponent.
A prepared Haye now has the better chance. I think the Valuev and Ruiz fights have been good experience for him and he's settled as a bona fide heavy weight wise. Don't forget when considering the Ruiz fight, he had no sparring for the final 4 weeks of camp so its all relative
He has a better chance now but he would have a hell of a lot more pressure on him if the fight ever came off.
I'm not sure about that. I don't think he woke up one day less fearless, it was likely his plan all along to get the WBA title and piggyback on the Klitschko's for heavyweight publicity. I think if anything he's growing into the weight quite now well compared to back then, he looks in better shape now than he did coming into the Ruiz fight and there is still 4 weeks to go so I expect him to be in the peak shape at heavyweight he can possibly be come fight night having had a couple of years now.
I would say next fight is Haye's best ever chance of beating Wlad. He's got experience and knowledge now as fighter. You can see that in his Ruiz/Valuev performances. Not always blistering and exciting, but he knew the kind of tough customer he had infront of him and adapted to the situation accordingly. Infact, he even showed he had smarts against Mormeck, getting up off the canvas but never deviating away from his plan and staying cool under pressure. He'll have had a good 4 fights at heavyweight against big men, and plenty of time to grow into his new weight, I see signs thats coming together now 4 weeks out. Some are saying he's soft but to me he looks big, by fight night he'll be in optimal shape. Ruiz also said he's the fastest he's ever faced, and he's faced the likes of Roy Jones so he hasn't lost his cruiserweight speed either. Physically he's in absolute prime condition right now. Now its just a matter of whether he'll **** away a few prime years fighting dodgy opponents...
