No. Because a better technical fighter can get you with the punch that you don't see coming. They don't have to hit as hard. Lewis is a better boxer than Corrie Sanders. Lewis' monster uppercut had no effect on Vitali. Yet, Sanders short left hand sent Vitali reeling backwards across the ring. It's about circumstance. Sanders cracks like a ****in' mule kicks, and that's the truth. Wlad taking the fight on short notice to fill the time slot was CLEARLY unprepared for what he had in front of him.

Wlad is much better after his losses though... so luckily he lost when he did.

As I already said... that isn't surprising. Boxing and knockouts are all about punching power.

Then again... Jameel McCline who was a LONG time sparring partner for Lennox Lewis said that Wladimir Klitschko hits harder than anyone he has ever been in the ring with... with either hand. And that was AFTER Wlad knocked him out. Phil Jackson who was knocked out by both Lennox Lewis and Wladimir Klitshcko said that Wlad hits harder. Those guys have no reason to lie.

I don't see much talent in these euro fighters myself. I know the Klitschkos have done good but other than that whats out there. Chagaev sucks Povetkin is a human punching bag. Dimetriko can't take a punch and has no power. . Valuev moves like a semi truck. maskaev is old as ****. ibragimov couldnot even beat eggchin klitschko.

Lewis has the better chin by a mile. Lewis fought several heavy hitters in his career, and took there best punches and was able to stay on his feet. Tua, Tyson, Briggs, Mercer, Morrison, Ruddick, Marovic, Bruno, and Vitali, etc. Wlad fought only a few big hitters, Brewster, Peter, TOS, Sanders and Mercer. 4 out of the 5 floored him, 3 out of 5 knocked him out.

Wlad has been down 11 times, and TKO'd by 3 men. Lewis only was down twice, and knocked out twice. Lewis went to war with a few of those fighters, Wlad never went to war with a big hitter.

everyone talks about wlads chin, the thing no one talks about , is the fact that, wlad, has never been knocked out cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
unlike lennox and jones jr. coldddddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
also lennox never faced corrie sanders who is a tremendous athlete, passed over because of apartheid, sanders perhaps the fastest athlete in boxing, and extremely hard hitting.

    wlad out cold , noooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    lennox out cold, yesssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    jones out cold yesssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wlad is a great athlete, clean cut, no trash!!!!!!! not been knocked out cold!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep. Holmes always claims that he saw stars when Shaevers hit him yet Tyson didn't trouble him. Didn't look that way to me.

Bottom line is Lewis was floored twice in a 15 year career in which he faced competition that eclipses WALDOS by miles, and on one of those occasions he was up and ready to fight on yet the Don King bought ref stopped it. WALDO on the other hand had the benefit of a standing 8 count against Brewster (which was bull****) and numerous other biased German referees protecting him every time he got dumped on his arse.

There is only 1 winner in this scenario, and that's The Lion.

Cmon man, don't make me go watch that fight again. I'm sure I'll find more than just some glancing shots. Although I do agree that Lewis fought very Wlad-style in that fight.

Still, imo Lewis had a better chin, and easily. The Ray Mercer fight is all the proof one needs.

You've answered your own point- Lewis all the way during an era with much better HWs than at present.

Are you serious? Rahman ( that fought lewis), Mccall are better fighters then Brewster, Sanders, Purrity. Dude purrity?????? Are you kidding me? Lewis only was ko 1 time while the other he got up before the count of 10 in the first Mccall fight. Atleast Lewis got the guts to rematch the same 2 fighters right away unlike Wlad who never rematch against Sanders and it took Wlad over 3 freaking years to fight Brewster in a rematch. Lewis has fought far more big punchers and been on far more very good fights that wasn't close to boring while Wlad only real good fights was against Peter and Brewster first fight in which Brewster tko Wlad.
