Not sure. Mayorga can take big shots, as we both know :yep, but..his powers of recovery are terrible, you hurt him, he stays hurt, takes ages to recover, much like Vargas.

 

Margarito is a better fighter and has a better chin. he is a much more disciplined fighter and much more consistent. Mayorga to me has always been overrated, especially lately when he fought Delahoya and Mosley. They just used him to get his name on thier record. Mayorga really was not a great fighter and he is not HOF either. No way.

Yup, but he wasn't Nate Campelled, so that tells you something about how great a beard he has.

 

The only "granite" about Margarito is what he puts in his gloves.

 

My money is on Mayorga.

 

I'd say Mayorga.
He'd take flush punches and just weather it down.
