Silva, Rampage or Chuck? After veiwing the fights between the 3 and other fights I am stumped at who can be considered the better chin Wand - 3 ko/tko losses to Belfort, Cro Cop and Hendo been dropped a few times but also held his own against heavies and Chuck Rampage - 3 ko/tko losses 2x Wand and Shogun never seen him hurt in other fights and took considerable damage from Wand and Shogun before KOs Chuck - 4 ko/tko losses to 2x Rampage, Couture and Horn also dropped against Jardine but took Silva shots well and Belforts Any opinions?
I say Rampage. His ko losses came by repeated knees to the head and chest while being locked in muay thai clinch and if it were any of those other guys taking those shots, they would have been out sooner. Im surprised he wasnt permanently destroyed after being ko'd that way.
Rampage is pretty solid. Wand gets rocked pretty easy but recovers fast. Chuck never really gets hit all that much because of his style, but from what we've seen Rampage has taken way more damage without going down than Chuck.
Has Rampage ever been out cold?? In the Silva/Shogun fights wasnt he just beat up to the point that he couldnt defend himself?
He was pretty much out in the second Silva fight, but even then it was more a massive accumulation of damage than a one hitter. Anyone else probably wouldn't have made it past the first hook that initally set him reeling.
In the first Silva fight it was a massive accumulation of punishment before the ref stopped it(Page was out on his feet), but in the second fight it was just one well placed knee to the face and he was out like a candle.
The punishment Rampage took in the Wanderlei fights and the Shogun fight was massive, he ate so many punches knees and kicks, I'm surprised it didn't have any long lasting effects on him. Taking that amount of punishment in the space of just two years can really damage a fighter forever, so I'm surprised how well he's bounced back and now fighting so well. Guys got a thick skull.
i say rampage too. before he was ko'd he took some brutal punishment. in the first wand fight, he took an unbelievable amount of punishment from wandy's knees, he wasnt knocked out in that fight:shock: but was stopped. in the second wany fight, he was doing well until he got his nose broken from wandy's right hand i think. that just shook him up, his pain threshold was about to explode, then a big knee just totally sparked him. thats the first and only time jackson has been ko'd! against shogun, it was accumilation. he got his ribs broken and then just gave up (sat down) and took some soccer kicks before the ref stopped it. the punishment rampage can take, chuck and wand would have been asleep long before i believe.
Rampage every time he's been stopped he has taken a ton of punishment and he's taken shots from guys like Igor and been unfazed.
