I never questioned whether Ruiz had a prime, I merely question when it transpired?

Was it his epic late round stoppage against Fres Oquendo?

:patsch He was only 31, after losing his title he went on to beat Rahman to regain it. Adamek beat 1 scrub, 1 nutcase who was shot to **** and never lived up to his talent anyway, and a crude, lazy Arreola who will never amount to anything either.

I don't know for sure since it is Ruiz. But it was somewhere around the Holyfield trilogy and close to the Jones fight.

Obviously he wasn't his prime against Haye. He was out of shape and 38.

The funny thing was Roy was rated number 3 by Ring Magazine at heavyweight and still held his LHW ring title.

I think Tua may have ended his prime in the 90's. Ruiz used to be aggressive yet many people forget that.

No way. You saw what happened to Roy when he stepped it up. Roy never fought anyone like Adamek.

Against Golota, when he averaged 15 holds per round to survive a past prime Golota beating.

I'm wondering if "today's" Ruiz can beat Arreola...

:patsch Bernard Hopkins and James Toney were both better than Adamek. Virgil Hill and Montel Griffen were damn good as well. Adamek is good but what happened last time he fought a skilled HW wit fast hands? Thats right Dawson kicked his ass. No one kicked RJJ's ass until he was old and weight drained :deal

obviously adamek, RJJ only had one fight at HW. but in terms of performance, his one performance at HW shits on all of adameks fights at HW.
