who has the better inside game: broner or rios?

This is exactly the point thats gonna seprate these 2, it'll be the crunch whether bronner can hold of a 3 minute assault & still be affective. Broner really impressed me with his astute inside game & he looks very strong at the weight, Broner/Rios is a fight made in Heaven. What i've seen of broner so far is that he has a far superior all round game. this is the big one for the future, it's a natural clash.

 

Just a big a mismatch as last night's fight, IMO.

 

Good question. Broner seems defensively tighter and obviously quicker, but Rios uses his body to position his opponents and turns in the pocket to set up new angles a lot. Broner seems content to stay static and pick his shots over time, which so far has worked great for him, but I'd like to see him add more to it against a savvy infighter. A fight between the two would be great. Though if Rios doesn't emphasize the defensive ability he does have, he'll ruin his chances by letting himself get hit too cleanly too often.

 

Rios has better inside game,

Broner is stiff, hes fast and all but he dont really have that fluid movement.

 

at this point I would still say Rios, If a fight happened between the two and Broner won the fight on the inside, much respect. I would think he would try to use his superior foot and hand speed to keep Rios on the outside.

 

Broner's inside game includes defense.

Totally foreign to Rios, and most of his opponents. The one time that opponent had defense(Abril), Rios looked less than plain.

 

I think broner has a better inside game cause when he goes on the inside, he lands big shots like the uppercuts and then body shots to hooks. And he does that while tighten up his defense in which rios doesnt know what defense is.

Offensively I'd lean to Rios, but overall I'd probably say Broner, I think he does a better job defensively, and I also think his athletic ability (hand speed, quickness, strength, reflexes) give him a significant advantage. That said Rios' toughness, grit, and determination somewhat balance the scales.

Broner is too fast. Rios is not a great fighter, but he can brawl with anyone. Put him in against a fast fighter and he loses easily.
