This. Tommy is a classic left-hooker, Wlad just has it as part of an overall arsenal that is more based on the 1-2.

Klitschko's left hook is a great punch, the pre fight show for Brewster 1 Manny Steward said it was his favorite punch in Wlad's arsenal and they worked on it a lot

strangely enough since being with steward i cant say it has become a larger factor in Wlad's offense

he did KO Austin and Chambers with it, prior to Steward he landed a great 3 left hooks in a row vs Mercer and put Mercer on his ass

but Wlad is a right hand fighter, he doesnt throw much outside his jab and right, doesnt body punch much and doesnt use his uppercut much or use much in combination

he finishes most guys with one shot

in Brewster 1 Wladimir offensively looked great til getting tired, he used cominations and movement lefts and rights and beat Brewster up

since that fight he has really limited his offense, now i dont know if that is to improve his defense and be a more tactical fighter or if that is because he has stamina problems

Morrison unlike Wlad is a left hook fighter its his primary weapon almost how Frazier was

as far as whose was harder or better i cant say

    <------

(and by that of course I mean The Road Warrior)

    edit: Jeff Lacy

edit 2: I picked Wlad, even though looking back on it I want to change it to Morrisson. He has that added "extreme communicable disease" factor.

I think tommy had himself a freaky left hook, one of the best ever. I just wish he'd used it a lil more..

I think Tommy has a much better hook. That one that he knocked Ruddock out with was vicious.

Wlad has the best left hook ever. Best jab ever. Best right hand ever etc.

Both hooks are very nice...Wlad throws his like tall man...And tommy mostly out of the crouch...Different stances both nice hooks...But a few posters on are abit off on tommys aresonal...He had a nice jab..Hell he even knock carl williams down with it...Good right hand knock joe hipp out with a single one and it was broken! Also had a slick uppercut...Seen it in several bouts...Could throw some nice combos too..See the first 3 rounds of the mercer fight...Single punch for single punch ill take morrisons hook...But i bet Tommy would like to have Wlads legacy...

    Morrison.

When Morrison threw it he was aiming for the ko, as great as Wlads is he only puts the same venom in the shot when his opponent is tired/hurt/no threat.

And that shot Morrison hit Ruddock with, ouch.

Here's the real point: Wlad has a varied attack mode. He softens the other fighter up with jabs and straight rights--then occasionally throws the left hook. He doesn't solely rely on the left hoof like Tommy because he knocks your ass out with other punches. If he spent all his time on the left hook, he would have had some terrific KO's-- more than Tommy--but would have lost more fights for opening up.
    He would have crushed Morrison.

    Different kinds of hook.
Morrison fully committed with his whole body to his hook, it was devastating when it connected.

Wlad throws the short, snappy hard to see and explosive hook, which is about as effective and devastating as any other left hook in history.
