    Yeah, but Ali was shot ... and he LOST.
    Spinks was very good for a 6-0-1 fighter though. Just he regressed by the time he got to 12 fights !

    lost this thread and don't know enough about apostoli to make an informed decision. however, as to the strength of hagler's era, while significantly weaker than apostoli's, may suffer from the flaw of having a dominant, knockout minded champion that makes everyone else look worse by comparison.
