WHO HAS THE BETTER OVERALL RESUME: Roy Jones Jr. or Joe c.?

He has my respect. He isn't as good as Jones, period. If you feel otherwise good for you, but don't paint people as haters or any other inferiority complex inspired adjective because of it. Their resumes aren't comparable. Neither are their accomplishments. Joe is an amazing talent, but not like Jones. And that is not an insult. Being compared to Jones at all talent wise is a compliment in and of itself.

As for Jones never beating someone like Calzaghe beat Lacy? Sure he did. But they didn't last 12 rounds. If Jones (who also had hand problems) hit someone as often and cleanly as Calzaghe hit Lacy, the fight didn't end in decision. It's a case of semantics when Calzaghe fans mention that Jones didn't do that to someone over 12 rounds.....he couldn't because that fighter wouldn't last 12 rounds.

They both have beaten bums in the early days, no boxer goes with out fighting bums when they start there pro careers and i have no doubt Roy has fought hard blokes, real tough cookies just like Joe.
1 or 2 better pedigree maybe but Roy is a massive name so losing to Roy aint all that bad. Losing to Joe however is a diff ball game , noone respects the guy so losing to Joe would mean christ peeps are going to think i`m real **** losing to this uk freak, when in the back of there minds they knew they was going to lose to Joe. Not especially....beating Jones now means very little. Calzaghe should beat Jones now, and easily due to his workrate alone. It won't move Calzaghe into Jones territory of greatness, just as Hopkins beating Jones now won't prove he was ever as good as Jones in his prime.

Now if Calzaghe beat Hopkins then beat Dawson, we would be having a more even discussion on the matter.

Ok, they have both fought real tough nuts, not sayin the guys on your list haven`t but what we have ended up here with is 2 undefeated undisputed 10 yr world champions.
Now in my eyes to name 30 odd fighters above Calzaghe at this moment in time is ludicrous. Whatever others seem to think i have a mind of my own and will use it when common sense prevails.
I`ll go back to this calling of disrespect shown to Calzaghe.
Why?
50,000+ attend his fights plus the millions across the globe.
This is for a reason and that very reason is to watch in awe 1 of the superstars of boxing today.
Fact! No need for trash talking he does`nt need to sell any fight it sells itself just like pure quality sells over any crap.
I won`t and will not believe for 2 seconds that Calzaghe is in the bottom 30+ of fighters today or any time for that matter.
You have to understand many top fighters have priced themselves out of a fight with Joe so what is he to do eh?
He will still be able to count his money when he retires and he will still know his own name which i can`t say that about alot of legends we know today
