*I could well be wrong on the best wins, feel free to offer up others*

    Prompted by debate elsewhere...

On the whole who has the better resume, and achievements at 140; Hatton or Cotto? Just at 140 alone! Who's achievements, and resume at that weight ranks higher? Hatton's Or Cotto's?

Prolly Hatton but he doesn't have to go to 147 like Cotto,he just got lost there.Hatton is no 1 at 140 for more than 3 years and Cotto was there during this period

hatton has the better achivements at this weight than pretty much everyone who is active in boxing today, so i believe he has the better resume than cotto at the weight, but i dont know who was/is 'better', maybe hatton when in his prime in 2005 was better than cotto, but it would have been a great fight.

Hattons win over KT was bigger then anything Cotto has done. Mosley was prime for prime a better fighter then KT however KT wasnt on a slide like Shane was at that point 6-4-1 in his fights going into the fight with Cotto. KT looked great in his fights with Mitchell, Tackie, Leija and Judah.

Hatton is a more established fighter than Cotto at 140 . . . there should be no arguement on that. :deal

Hatton, but I don't know if he could have taken Cotto. But then again Cotto opponents were pretty much cherry picked so I doubt they ever would have put him in against anyone of Hattons caliber. Where as KT is probably better than Cotto and anyone Cotto has ever beaten, with the exception of Mosely but as someone has already pointed out Mosely was well past his prime when they fought.

    Easily got to be Hatton.

Cotto's time at 140 was basically an apprenticeship, sorta of like when Ricky was WBU champ.

Cotto did all his p4p and legacy work at welter.

hatton has the better names such as castillo and KT, but where they in their prime? In my opinion I must say their pretty much even... you could probably add corley in it as well...

People tend to get carried away at times with names... I know we have to respect great fighters like KT... but you also have to know when a fighters heart is not in it and has been in the game for a while, hes not the same as he once was... I believe its more dangerous when you have a young paulie who was hungry and wanted to prove something that night, with a broken cheekbone and jaw than someone like KT who wasnt fighting the same as he once was... when a fighter is focus and hungry, most recent example margarito vs cotto, then thats dangerous and very competitve and its going to be a long night...
