When he's stepped up to elite A+ level like GGG and Canelo. Postol lost to Taylor, Ramirez and GAR

    Golovkin for my money.

That's assuming you give him the first Canelo fight, which pretty much every single person does.

Crawford has dominated some weak divisions. Or atleast some divisions with weak name values. Even beating Spence won't put him ahead of Golovkin imo.

If you look at the Top 5 names on each resume it's probably GGG. If you look at the Top 10 you might edge Crawford slightly.

    It's a close race though.

GGG has a couple of really good names on top (Clenelo 2x, Jacobs, Lemieux, Murata) but lacks depth. Crawford has fought barely any elite fighter but a lot of really solid opposition.

    Golovkin's top 5
    1- Lemieux KO 8
    2- Jacobs UD
    3- Murata KO 9
    4- Derev UD
    5- Murray KO 11

Let's add that his fights against Canelo are very controversial.

    Crawford's top 5 :
    1- Porter KO 10
    2- Gamboa KO 9
    3- Postol UD
    4- Indongo KO 3
    5- Horn KO 9

In my eyes Golovkin's resume is slightly better.

The better question is who was Golovkin SUPPOSED to fight at 160 to please his critics? Who did he swerve?
Let's have a look at that briefly.

    Sturm? Wouldn't fight GGG.
    Cotto? Wouldn't fight him.
    Martinez? Wouldn't fight him.
    Eubank Jr? Wouldn't fight him.
Saunders? Wouldn't fight him (until years later when Canelo fight was in the works)
Lee? Agreed to fight him with belt but lost to Saunders then retired soon after

Even if he'd beaten them all we'd hear that Sturm was protected, Cotto was blown up, Martinez shot, Eubank JR hyped, Saunders never good, Lee chinny etc.

    How about outside of 160?

Mayweather? Wouldn't fight him at 154
Froch? Wouldn't fight him at 168-170ish but was prepared to fight Chavez Jr for one last pay day.
Ward? Nobody knows the exact details of that negotiation but Ward was 168+ anyway.

Even if he'd beaten them we'd hear that Mayweather was too small/old, Froch too old, Ward drained etc.

You left off a few, I fixed it for you. I'll do a rating system. 5 star opponent is top tier, 4 above average, 3 star is average, 2 is below average, 1 is poor. But since I left all of the straight up poor ones off, there'll be no 1's. Now keep in mind, I'm judging on a curve, based on the version they fought. Porter Khan and Brook were both 5's once upon a time, sadly the version Bud fought of all three, was nowhere close to their best versions. Kell loses a point for GGG as well, since he was undersized.

I haven't seen it, so I took it at face value. I really want to watch a good copy, though.
