I want to know... which fighter has accomplished more? Which fighter is the greatest of the 2 and who has the better legacy? Which fighter has the better resume and is ranked higher on the G.O.A.T list

    Hopkin's notable wins

1.Roy Jones Jr (Past his prime)
    2.Oscar De La Hoya
    3.Kelly Pavlik
    4.Antonio Tarver
    5.Tito Trinidad
    6.Winky Wright
    7.Glenn Johnson

Hopkins went 20-0 for 10 years in the middleweight division before being detrhoned by Jermaine Taylor in 2005

    Mayweather's notable wins

    1.Genaro Hernandez
    2.Jose Luis Castillo
    3.Oscar De La Hoya
    4.Ricky Hatton
    5.Arturo Gatti
    6.Zab Judah
    7.Juan Manuel Marquez
    8.Shane Mosley
    9.Diego Corrales

Mayweather is undefeated with a record of 41-0 and he has won 6 titles (5 WBC belts and 1 IBF belt) in 5 different weight divisions

Who has the better resume and based on the fighters they've beaten who would be ranked higher on the G.O.A.T list! Who has the better legacy???

    Mayweather.

Hopkins best wins are all against smaller fighters. Bit harsh considering some of the names on there but it has to count against him.

I must agree four out of those seven names were all smaller opponents or fighters whose best years and known for, were in smaller weight classes

Pretty damn close. Maybe a slight edge to Mayweather, but I wouldn't really argue people picking Hopkins.

Mayweather, 5 weight class crusader with a plethora of names that p4p beat Hopkins title reign in most aspects. Even though I consider Hopkins a top 50 ATG and an ATG Middleweight, I have to go Mayweather.

The problem here is that often people will regard Hopkins wins better because he was the underdog. When you are an underdog, your wins get multiplied in magnitude. Therefore is Hopkins win over Pavlik really better than Mayweather's wins over Hernandez? Is the Trinidad win really better than the win Mayweather's over ODH and Shane Mosley? Hopkins is a great fighter but he get's a lot of credit because he was the underdog in some of the big fights he wins. Mayweather never gets that credit because he is always a massive favourite and will be against Pacquiao also. For me its Mayweather by quite a margin.
