Please see my post above for Shane's quality of opposition.

He only held one lightweight title - the IBF. How does this equate to 'dominating' a division??

I disagree, i don't think mosely opposition at lightweight was strong at all, joe reign at 168 while not brilliant was better IMO, far more longevity and beat a better quality of fighter, espicially in kessler

So going into this thread you had your mind made up and the facts dont really matter.

Oh, I also left out Golden Johnson and Jesse James Leija. Both of those 2 can only be beaten by elite fighters.

I judge my all-time rankings 80% on resume anyway, so its pretty much the same to me.

Thank you for again highlighting how feeble the opposition is on Shane's resume!

Compare that to the resumes of De La Hoya and Trinidad, guys who fought around the same weights around the same time - SSM's is very clearly inferior.

I didn't know we are now comparing Shane to Tito and De La Hoya.

Those 3 are just about even.

All 3 won and lost in big fights.

Why would I have started a thread on something I knew nothing about? Of course I had an opinion in my mind when I started, but whenever I think of a poll question that I can't be 100% certain of what the majority will think, I throw it open. What's wrong with that? This is a forum. If Mosley destroys Calzaghe in the poll, I will shed no tears, I'm just interested in majority opinion regarding certain fighters and issues.

Golden Johnson was not a top quality fighter by any means. Leija was well past prime and fighting at a weight too high for him.

What kind of ****ing crap is this? Shane is one of the greatest lightsweights of ALL time. His a 3 weight world champ and a bonafide ATG and now has his record compared with a WBO drone like Calzaghe?

Currently it's about 60% for Mosley and 25% for Calzaghe. 15% calling it close.

Is that good enough for you PacFan?
