Who has the better resume, Wlad or Frazier?

That seems a bit fickle to me. Wlad's last batch of opponents were certainly not just journey men who were given a shot.

Peter, former World champ

Chambers, should have been Povetkin but pulled out despite that Chambers still was coming of wins over Dimitrenko, Rossy, Peter and Brock.

Chagaev, WBA champ

Rahman, former World champ but again should have been Povetkin.

Thompson, won eliminator

Sultan Ibragimov, WBO champ

 

Frazier's win over Ali is enough to give him the clear edge. If he'd only beaten bums apart from Ali, it'd still be a much better record. It's a win over a top 10 all-time fighter, in any division, whereas Wlad hasn't beaten a top 50 all-time at heavyweight.

Wlad has also never beaten anyone as good as Chuvalo, Quarry or Foster.

 

Frazier might well have the best win ever on paper with his victory over Ali, maybe nobody in the sport can beat that, but that doesn't mean he has the best resume ever. Foreman lost to Ali but has a better Resume over Frazier clearly after destroying him twice. With Frazier only fighting 37 times that is always going to work against him in these kind of debates.

 

Frazier has the win over ali. That cannot be ignored.

Both had 5 year reigns at the top. Both were proper recognised champs for 2 years. Both fought some of the top guys and missed some of the top guys.

But frazier has ali. Frazier was fighting guys much closer in size also so p4p the victories mean a hell of a lot more. I mean can you imagine what a 6 foot 5 frazier would have done to the 70's lol.

 

Frazier beat Bonavena twice and surely you can put Joe Bugner and Eddie Machen over a few of the people in the Frazier list.

What has that got to do with anything? The HW division has no weight limit and we're talking about Joe Frasier the man not Joe Frazier the mythical beast.

If haye had beaten the exact same guys as wlad he would have a better resume because of size. Surely you understand that right? Tell me you understand that?

Example it means more for duran to beat barkley than for kalambay to beat barkley. It means more for hearns to beat hill than for dariusz to beat hill.

 

No I think that's complete nonsense, it would be like saying any victory an ATG HW has over anybody under 15 stone has to count as only beating a CW. It's silly, Tyson never let size be a problem.

Jimmy Ellis x2.........blown up middleweight who was never consistently successful on any level. Did have a ton of heart and a helluva chin though.

Jerry Quarry x2...... decent small HW on par with a Jeremy Williams or an Attila Levin type fighter.

Ali.......GOAT. Got lucky stopping Ali in his lone win of 3, and was brutally outboxed in there other meetings.

Ron Stander......only lost to one can before his shot, but couldn't beat a top 20 in any era. About as good as a Vinny Maddalone type fighter.

Terry Daniels..........never beat a top 50, and lost to many bottom 100s in his pathetic career

Bob Foster.......beat a few dozen cans at LHW, put on some weight, beat a few HW cans, and then was demolished by every top 10 HW he fought. About as good as maybe Otis Griffin if Griff decided to put on 30lbs and compete at HW.

Dave Zyglewicz......excellent can crusher, but he couldn't beat a top 20.

Oscar Bonavena......feasted on cans, and was destroyed each and every time he fought a top 20 fighter. Very similar to Audley Harrison in terms of ability.

Manuel Ramos.........tomato can, club fighter, wouldn't be top 200 in any era except the 70s.

Buster Mathis.....excellent gatekeeper, but Monte Barrett woulda blasted him outta there as fast or faster than Frazier. I'd put him on the level of a Robert Wiggins, Manny Quezada, or Taurus Sykes

George Chuvalo....... lost consistently to cans, and couldn't beat a top 20 fighter in any era.



CMON Klitschko haters............get the **** over it. Foreman blasted the **** outta Frazier, and IMO Peter KOs him even faster.

I could do the same thing you just pulled with Klitschko's resume. Hell, I could do the same thing to all-time legends like Robinson, Greb, and Charles. If you really think Samuel Peter KO's Joe Frazier, you're not to be taken seriously. On any level. Because Samuel Peter is flat-out one of the worst fighters I've ever seen that grabbed a title belt. He didn't know how to throw a correct punch and if you really think he's better than Foreman...wow :-( Just **** off. For good, preferably. This site has enough trash as is.
