I know Calzaghe beat Kessler and that Kessler has lost to Ward but who has the better SMW resume overall?

    Calzaghe beat

    Eubank
    Reid
    Sheika
    Starie
    Woodhall
    Mkertchyan
    Mitchell
    Brewer
    Manfredo
    Bika
    Lacy
    Kessler
    Veit

    Kessler beat

    Thobela
    Porras
    Siaca
    Mundine
    Lucas
    Beyer
    Andrade
    Sartison
    Haussler
    Froch

    So who has?

You should add Chad Dawson to that since he regarded so much higher than Calzaghe.

Yeah its odd that isnt it. Dawson has been put down in his career by some real nobodies, just like Ward and Dirrell (which can happen) but everyone focuses on Calzaghe and not these guys, and Dawson is respected for beating Tarver and Johnson, who in equivalent are much older than Dawson to what Calzaghe was to Hopkins and Jones. Its just because people want to believe they had a fighter who could beat Calzaghe, but they didnt. All this talk that Calzaghe could have fought Dawson, then why didnt Dawson build himself up at SMW to get a shot? Now Calzaghes retired Dawson is talking of moving down to SMW. Bit odd

You misunderstand how it works, only calzaghe has to work his way up even though he was a champion. Other people like Dawson have a divine right.

Calzaghe, but only because he beated Kessler. Had Kessler won that fight I would say his resume is better.

Interesting quote, why do you think Calzaghes is weaker without Kessler?

To me Kesslers best wins are Beyer and Froch and to me Calzaghes best SMW wins to me would be Kessler and maybe Eubank

I think they are on one level concerning their resume.

You guys have done well at SMW over recent years
Ottke, Beyer, Veit all world class. Ottkes resume could also make an arguement here as well

Both of these two cats are Peas-In-A-Pod.
They are both Hide-away champions with little to no real opponents before they met each other.
I can hear people screaming about Calzaghe and Eubanks but in America, that's akin to Calzaghe-Lacy. A non-ATG event.

    Just showing your ignorance now

    Hide away?
Calzaghe fought away to Hopkins and Jones

And Kessler could never be accused of hiding away to anyone
Mundine, Calzaghe, Ward, Haussler all away

Both with a big list of the whos who of the SMWs of the last 10 years between them.

No one cares about the 5 year old piece of **** SMW division. Whoever wins the super 6 will have accomplished far more than Joe. No one cares about Joe, he's a washed up cocaine snorting idiot at this point in time. His career is forgettable to say the least. Kessler faced more real opponents and Joe kicked his ass so out of these two I pick Joe even though the thought of watching his slap ***gy style one more time turns my stomach. Please stop posting about this guy every two minutes. We are lucky we don't ever need to think about this bum anymore and the SMW division is far stronger since he has left it.

Look at the collection of 154 pounders, old men, and bouncers Joe fought. For Christ sake you have to be a ****ing moron to defend his resume.

Wrong again about the super 6. Shows how you are taken in by promotion. A good example is if Ward beats Green it would be taken as a good win due to people following the Super 6 when in truth Green hasnt beaten anyone of real note and lost to Miranda. If Ward wins he will not have fought an undefeated fighter in the competition and his big win will probably be Kessler, a guy Calzaghe had already beaten. So if Ward wins would you say beating Kessler, Green and Dirrell whos big moments were losing debateably to Froch and beating a small former MW whos big name on his title reign was? Whilst finishing the fight out cold. Thats not a better resume now is it.

You dont have to post replies to what I write, but if you do at least try and give a valid answer, with some correct facts
