Who has the better stamina/workrate: Margarito or Calzaghe?

AM doesn't have better stamina or work rate than Paul Williams.

 

I guess he just had to show off his work rate in front of an old man, a robot, and tomato cans instead... lol...

Joking aside, If Joe had someone with the youth and elite quality of Cotto p4p, hitting him back, he wouldn't look as energetic or active.

 

Too difficult to really tell. Margarito does punch with more conviction then Joe C however. But basically whoever you like more will be the answer for the most part.

 

Two ways of looking at it... do you go with Margo because he seems to put more heat on his punches? However, he really doesn't put heat on all of his shots, he does just touch his opponents a good bit of the time.

Or...

Do you go with Calzaghe who throws so many punches, doesn't put everything on all of them... although his opponents will usually say that he hit harder than expected. Not only that, but you can tell by the actions of his opponents that they are respecting what he is throwing. More than just the punches though, he is always in motion, moving , weaving, bouncing... that takes A LOT of energy.

In the end, I don't think that you a clear winner. For the simple reason that both of them do this for the entire fight and neither of them get tired. You can't really decide who has better stamina when neither man ever wears out. Clearly, both of them have reached the pinnacle of conditioning.

 

Margarito puts much more into his punches, and literally does not take backwards steps. Have to give him the edge.

 

Margarito.... The guy actually throws punches with correct form and good power which takes a lot more energy than Calzaghe's slapping arm punches. I believe Margo also leads him in Compubox stats as well.
