I know he was the exception. Basically nobody is prime over 35. 49 is not 35 or 40.

    49 is really old.

Didn't stop him from winning a couple of LHW world titles, and making it to a BIG unification bout.

No surprise, all the white nationalists on here think Kovalev has the better win. Jones easily.

fairly equal, but i'd give jones the nod. that being said, jones ducked a rematch until he had no viable alternative. and no one cared any longer.

Jones, Taylor, and Dawson over Calzaghe and Kovalev, that's for sure.

I havent made a decision yet, but i think even the green Hopkins of the Jones fight would be much more apt to let his hands go than the Hop who fought Kovalev.

that was really timing, he waited till two weaklings happened to win titles, and then beat them with gameplan. If boxers as good as Chad Dawson (former Chad) had been around, he'd have had no chance.

beating Cloud and the posh guy? that's really not a big unification, but proprs for unifying anyway.

Hopkins is subject to the laws of ageing due on all men since the dawn of civilisation. 40something is old and very vulnerable to anyone with say, excellent conditioning high output.
